Marvel boss Kevin Feige has revealed a bit more about Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight, including that he is "brutal" and that the team behind the upcoming Disney+ series is "not pulling back" in the story they are trying to tell.

In an interview with Empire Magazine presented in an article that also shared a new look at Moon Knight in an alternate outfit, Feige shared that this new series is letting them test the boundaries of what the MCU has done before.

"He's brutal," Feige said. "Itā€™s been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what weā€™re able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ā€˜Weā€™re gonna pull back on this, right?ā€™ No. Weā€™re not pulling back. Thereā€™s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight.ā€

Isaac talked about how not only is his character linked to a "bird-skulled Egyptian diety known as Khonshu," but that the show is also looking to deal with Moon Knight's mental health condition.

ā€œIt is risky,ā€ Isaac says. ā€œHeā€™s an obscure hero, and the things weā€™re dealing with are very different. But because itā€™s a limited series, rather than a movie, the pressure isnā€™t there to make sure the opening weekend is massive. Weā€™re able to take more risks, to bring that experimental quality on a huge scale."

Empire previously shared its cover images for this month's issue that has a Moon Knight feature, and it arrives before the series will premiere on Disney+ on March 30, 2022.
