Moonshot question

I have a moonshot that gets large air bubbles at the wick holes causing dry hits. I have tried several different ways of wicking including the suggested way by Segeli

Does anyone who has one run into the same problem or know of way to get this fixed?

What coils/resistance and wattage are you using? I use mine fairly low power. A 0.6 coil at 50 watts and it works pretty well. I get air bubbles but they stay small. Id just say when you see the airbubbles start getting big like that to rotate it around and try to get them to move up to the surface of the liquid, or at least get them out of the way of the holes so the juice can get soaked up. But if youre using it at a higher wattage and such itll probably be harder since the bubbles will form after just a hit or 2. Maybe try wicking looser.

I'll have to repeat the same advice I gave when you PM'd me. Just push your wicks down further from the wicking allowance holes and make sure your juice isn't too thick. I ran my moonshot at 130W all day and while I did get stuck bubbles I never had more than one hole get blocked for more than a few minutes.

Agree with above.

I have been running about .6-.7 just notmal coils 26awg.

Had some leaking problems when I tried to wick it minimally. I have a fairly heavy wick and have no problems with dry hits 20pg/80vg.

Tried using claptons in a similar coil, and got dry hits. I think the claptons just held on to too much heat. Got better flavor on the regular coils too.

I was vaping 8 wrap 3mm (the deck was literally maxed out, I had to tweak the coil positions to avoid shorts) 28 x 2 with 32 ga dual fused claptons in the Moonshot at like 130W with no issues for a good long while. Though I was never prone to literally taking hit after hit after hit (I go at least 10-15 seconds between hits unless I've just woke up) except for maybe burst hitting it 2-3 times every few seconds. This tank can definitely handle big, high wattage builds and keep up. I just always made sure to keep the cotton pushed a little further back from the wicking holes because I did get those bubbles at first.

Weird, I was using 80/20. More heat (AKA higher wattage builds) will actually cause your juice to thin out a little, so at a 70/30 it should be even easier to wick at high wattages. Push your cotton back away from the wicking holes as much as possible without leaking issues, if that still doesn't work, try lower wattage builds. If that doesn't work, try thinner juice. If that doesn't work, buy another Moonshot because something is wrong I'd say, because I was able to power vape the shit out of mine at higher wattages without issue.
