Moonshot review wanted

Im interested to see if anyone has a good review on the sigelei moonshot rta. Im on the fence with the moonshot and the petri rta. A comparison would be great. Looking at the sxk clone on the petri and an authentic moonshot can be had for $15

Would buy a moonshot for $15 for sure.

Great flavor tank. Wicks high vg well. Doesn't leak at all when wicked properly.

The bad:
gets super hot with wattage over 70ish in my experience

Challenging to build on. Requires longer legs than most.

Yeah, i like my moonshot. But for rebuildables, i feel like it is not quite an RDA experience. So i drip 95% of the time.

I sold a moonshot to a co worker and have rebuilt and rewicked it many times. Building can be tricky due to the smaller deck and chimney but after a couple times is a piece of cake. With proper wicking there is no leaking unless you fill it with the air flow open. Most of the builds have been 26g dual parallel kanthal. Small tank, superb flavor, great cloud.

I love the Moonshot. That said, skip it. It is damn fiddly to build compared to some similarly performing tanks such as the Coil Art Mage and slightly tighter Innokin Axiom. I have not tried the Petri RTA, so cannot compare.

I have also not tried the Azeroth, but hear good things. Comparable to the Azeroth is the Ijoy Combo, Geekvape Avocado 24 (not so much the 22) and Limitless RDTAs... all of which I do own and use.

There are some that will disagree, but it's really a matter of semantics... an RTA is a tank (duh) but the coil is housed and inaccessible while vaping. An RDTA has a tank, but the coil can remain accessible. The other definition just refers to the type of deck and juice flow to the deck. With that definition, the Aromamizer and Bores are also RDTAs... which I also own and use.

Now, honestly, for ease of use, no leaks, great flavor, and decent clouds, skip all of these and get the Engine RTA from OBS.

I have both, the Moonshot and the Petri rta. I'm using the Petri every day, the Moonshot is somewhere, in a box. I do not have the Petri sxk clone, but from what I'm reading, it is a very good one. The authentic Petri is very good, just wish I'd waited a few days and gotten the sxk clone at a third of the price.

Postless deck is a bit fussy to build.
Positive pin must be loosened to seat deck.
Be sure to fill with A/F closed.
That being said, a KEEPER..

I wrote a short little review on the petri rta. Love it, except when i fill it keeps leaking whether i close the AF or not. Im sure i need a person to person tutorial

You don't really need a person to person tutorial unless you're under 30 but above 18 and a stunning looking woman. In that case, there will be a crowd waiting in line to tutor you.
I had the same problem with the Petri when I first got it. Make sure you wick it well and never fill it to the very top.

You need to have a lot of cotton in the channels and leave a little room at the top. The way I wick mine, I use 3 mm ID coils with it so the wick tails are pretty big. I cut at a 25 - 30 degree angle a small portion of the inside of each wick tail, the side where they meet and go in the juice channel. That way they fit a little better and at the same time there is a lot of cotton to fill the juice channel and the juice intake.
