Motorcycles aren't cars and cigarettes aren't smoke-free tobacco

what if insurance premiums for car owners were pegged at the much higher rates for motorcycles?
I think the esteemed Dr. Rodu doesn't actually own a motorcycle.

For my entire life, motorcycle insurance has always been considerably cheaper than than car insurance. Heck, there were a couple of years after I left college when I commuted on a bike year-round here in PA because I could easily afford full-coverage insurance on a brand-new bike, but couldn't afford the minimum legally required liability coverage on a crappy car. These days, full coverage on two bikes runs me less than $500 a year while car insurance is several grand. Go figure.
