"The device that exploded was an EFEST battery which hadn't been attached to an e-cig and had just been kept in Janna’s handbag as a spare."

Loose live 18650 rolling around in a purse = Failed Darwin Award Attempt

"Paul added: “How it could just combust I have no idea but people need to be warned about these batteries as they’re a popular brand"

You've got to be kidding me!!!

Plus why not add a write up about why this is a bad idea?
Wouldn't that help a reader if they were equally stupid?

I think they arent trying to help more then stir shit up...Otherwise it wouldnt be posted to begin with, and if by chance it was to help a booklet of "what not to do" would be included.

It's all about the ratings.
Nothing else.

They print stuff to stir people up to get readers/viewers so they can make money off advertising.

I hate websites that force you to take a survey to read an article

Battery case, $1.19, batteries and keys and anything else in my pocketbook all day long. No explosions. All she had to do was spend $1.19 ...so minimal compared to the physical and financial anguish of stupidity....
