Hi guys, I just picked up a Mutation X V2 RDA and to me it seems like the top comes off way to easy. It hardly stays on under its own weight. Any thoughts on how to make it slightly more solid?

Are you referring to the airflow top cap (holds the drip tip) or the base top cap (has the holes)? You can see if you received an extra, thicker O-ring for the that should hold it tighter.

i was meaning the base top cap that has the holes. it came with extra O-rings but they are the same size.

Check out
I know exactly who and what to look for I have 2 of them.
The asshole that was ripping people off was using legit Shenzhen Unicig Indulgence Mutation X photos then sending fakes.
I bet a LOT of people didn't know any better and fell for it.
I didn't really need another but I figured I'd grab a 3rd one to put up just in case.
I got my money back, return shipping and all.
If I didn't already own 2 I may have not known the difference.

You are 100% Correct. The original IS the best!:)
The vape bands help keep it snug to the base.
That is the only drawback is the orings are a little weak at the base.
That is insignificant considering the quality and price.

I never understood that either.
I noticed on fasttech the Mutation X 'styled' atty came and people were replying "yes, in the basket' and 'finally, been wanting these".
I was thinking what the fuck? for $10 more you can get a REAL one!
Some people are so used to buying shit from fasttech they will even buy something when fasttech is charging MORE for it than everywhere else!

I dunno, mine holds fine, though it likes to come off before the upper piece of the top cap. I can't tell the difference between yours and mine except SS vs Copper I just found that post as a possible solution for the loose top cap.

yeah, im sure its just a seal issue, i'm going to try to find a larger seal and see if that will tighten it up. Thanks for the help!!!

I know the mutation x v1 had massive oring issues.
The whole top popped off very easily.
The mutation x v2 has upgraded orings, special curved slots, and dual center post.
I have both and the v2 is by far the best one.

BTW Cory I am pretty sure there are extra orings in the box.
You may need to replace the top one.

I have an authentic copper one and the orings seem to be perfect. The base ones are a little loose but I can pull the top cap out and the outer ring only wiggles maybe half a mm up if it does at all...the only problem I've had with mine is the stupid triangle allen key broke it's tip in one of my screws while doing the first build so I am stuck with the coil I have in it till the replacement screws come I have ordered that have allen key heads instead of whatever the hell the ones come with it are. If the replacement o-rings are still loose that came with it once you change it out try swapping it with o-rings from a spare set from a different atty if you have them....I've done that with other atty's I've had...most atty's use o-rings with in a mm of each other and different atty's ship different o-ring thicknesses. You can also buy bulk o-rings from several websites for nickels in o-ring and have replacements for life. Some of them are

Thank you, that is what I ended up doing, I got an o-ring from another atty that was thicker and replaced it. It's working and hold perfectly now!
