mxjo blowing up

so I bought a authentic MXJO 3000mah 35A battery I've been vaping on it for a month now and i put a build of dual 22g 7 wrap and lastnight it vented a little bit. so I put it on a nitecore charger to charge lastnight. I put it in my smpl with the mutation v4. and fired it and the battery exploded it looked like a foutain firecracker and the rda and top of the smpl went across the room. can someone explain to me why this happened? please

Well, first of all, I'm glad you're not hurt. If a battery vents, never ever put it back on the charger. Get it somewhere safe (nonflammable) and watch it closely (while remaining safe yourself) until you're sure it's cool to the touch and there are no more internal reactions going on. Then dispose of it at a battery recycling place.

thank you. but I don't think it was hot when I put it on the charger. and why would it blow up after I put it back in my mod?

It doesn't have to be hot when you put it on the charger, once it's vented it's damaged and anything could happen. Most of the safeguards are probably gone. Most of the time it wouldn't explode but it's far more likely.

when you put it in your mod it started to discharge again which caused the internal short. In a battery like that an internal short is usually the only way for fireworks to happen.

Very important, if a battery vents at all do not try to use it again or stuff like this could happen.

What kind of charger do you have?

You push a trash ass rewrap battery with either a .1 or .13 build (depending on if you used kanthal or nichrome, you didnt specify) and you wonder why it vents? You were pushing anywhere from 28.5 to 37 amps (assuming 3.7v) on a battery that has been independently tested and rates at between 15-20 amps cdr. But maybe you didn't know they were a lie, and maybe your just trolling? Whos to say?
