My beloved Crown finally burnt a hit.

Not earth shattering news, but yes, Crowns are in fact, not perfect.

I have no idea why. This coulis about a couple weeks old. 0.25 ran in TC on my mini SX and now my DNA. I thought it was doing it a bit on the SX. Sort of felt like it, but I didn't taste it. Though I was being silly and changed juice. Then sort of thought so on that... The, BAM. No more guessing needed. Full charge on a lung full of cotton. It's toast now.

Just makes me curious. I was hitting I a bit harder with the DNA, but my vapers is still cool. Settings are at 550F with a 0.00105 TCR. Yes hot enough to burn cotton. And I'm still not convinced "we" have the right material TCR for Crown coils, but it is not a warm vapers.

More importantly though, regardless of temp and TCR, in TC mode I'm only actually doing low watts. 30-40-50 maybe. Cool vapers. I can do 75w in power mode no problem. Certainly warmer, but no where near 100-120w limit found by others. I guess I finally got a bad coil.

try washing the coil,
ive had some success after getting dry hits or burned hits on the crown coils

what i think it is ....
the tc dont kick in cuz part of teh wick is wet but most around teh coil is dry
i think this happens due to the fact we tilt the atomizer while vaping so as the tank drains
more juice soaks through on one part of the coil

BUT
i dont know why that doesnt happen on other tanks like the maganus which has nearly the identical coils

out of curiousity what pg/vg were you using

That coil has been running max VG. Pretty much fruit juice. I don't do dairies and pastries. I have not been throwing my coils away cause I might try rewicking as others have done.

Like I said before when you reported your problems... I have run my tanks bone dry with no issues. This particular time... Half a tank, right side up in my pocket, first drag in like 30 minutes. No guessing on that one. Tried again a little later... Done. Replaced it, it was wet. No idea really...

I'd chalk it up to a bum coil...it happens. That said if a coil lasts me a week I'm pretty happy with it.

It's ok BUT I sincerely prefer kanthal is it just me? Everyone makes such a big deal and I'm not feeling it

The Ni200 Crown coils are my least favorite - the SS coils are outstanding. Once I started using those I even lost my love for TC!

I'm using SS. No complaints with the coils. It happens I guess. Plus, right now I can't guarantee it wasn't abuse from wrong tcr.
