so my first one, it came out not terrible, but very sweet, definitely have to back off on the peach next time lol, but anyway here it is any constructive criticism is of course welcomed. I'm after a peach, toasted nut type of ice cream :) (i tried toasted almond from tfa, didn't like it at all, so that is why the toasted marsh, but it just seems to be adding more sweet)

white peach 4% fa
walnut 2% fa
toasted marshmallow 2% tfa
caramel 2% fa
vienna cream 1% fa
vanilla bean ice cream 1% tfa

If you'd like to try a toasted nut, you could look into Inawera Sesame (Sezam on the label). It's delicious, doesn't require much at all. Germans Flavors (kind of new to us) has a Burnt Almond flavor that I did really like. Both of those are available at Vaperstek.

The FA line of nut flavors, though not toasted, are very good. Do you have the hazelnut flavor? Might cut some of the sweetness for you, if it's too much. Hazelnut is very strong, so you wouldn't need much.

It looks like a good mix, Kim!

There's a whole Inawera thread here somewhere, but it kind of fizzled. The few INW I have are very good. Fruits, mainly. That sesame is really good! I tried it standalone at 2%. I tried it in a recipe at 1% and it took over, lol. But, that could just be me, too. It's developing more fans lately. Delicious.

found the thread. http://vapingunderground.com/threads/inawera.2550/

Huckle, you think i can cut this with just a 0 nic vg/water? thinking that would make it, half of the % i posted? i tried it again this morning and think all i'm going to taste the rest of the day is peach lol, it's smooth at least but my god, sweet beyond tolerable:eek:

You can certainly cut it. If you want the nic mg to stay the same, make an unflavored liquid and mix them together. Or if you make a nic base, split the mix in half, or if there's room in the bottle, add more base to it. Hope that made sense and didn't confuse!

Yep, those FA flavors are very strong. I bet if you cut it by half you would have something closer to what you are looking for.

I also agree with Huckleberried that hazelnut would be very nice in that mix. Perhaps replace the walnut with hazel @1% next time and try that. If you do, you could also drop the toasted marshmallow as hazelnut has an inherent toasty quality and it would reduce sweetness at the same time.

so i started with 8.7ml base the rest was flavor for a 10ml batch, i added 5ml more of base , and now it's pretty good! not what i was after, but a good mistake none the less lol, i don't know what the conversion would be for the percentage

I think you'd be safe with converting by half. I'm glad that worked out for you!

8.7 base with 1.3 flavor (1.3/8.7) is a whopping 14.9%! Super strong for any FA flavors. Now you have 1.3/13.7 for 9.4%. I would think that as still strong. I would shoot for no more than 7% with FA stuff. Welcome to DIY! Glad you're getting closer.

I love peaches, and I love almost every kind of peach flavoring, ive tried.

FA Peach
FA White Peach
CAP Peach
CAP Peaches & Cream
TPA Peach
TPA Ripe Peach

What I have learned messing with them is that peach is a motherfucker to work with, the reason why is that peach has multiple parts that define its flavor and are easily killed by adding stuff to it.

Sometimes you kill the middle part of the flavor and the peach has no body, but only has the sharp high note and the low note.
Sometimes you kill the top part of the flavor, and the middle just doesn't notify your brain that its peach you are tasting.

I hoped that helped, or confused you even more, but that is my experience with peach flavoring.

thanks for the info :) i cut what i had there with 5ml of base and it worked out nicely, like i said earlierl though , it wasn't what i was after, but still very good :) i find, so far, fa white peach the easiest to work with, i've tried tfa and cap and didn't like how either of them played in the playground lol :)

i love to mix all of the peaches from most all companies..
if you layer them, it will make the peach stand up, if you give it a few drops of raspberry.. ;)

I think you gave me the idea to grab some Jungle Flavors Honey Peach. It's good. I liked it quite a bit more than the Honey Dew Melon that I also got.

I like FA White Peach a lot. I think 4% would be too strong for me though. If I'm just making a peach juice, I only use about 5 drops of White Peach in a 10ml mix.

I must be doing something wrong. I too love love love FA white peach but I can't get enough of it in a mix. I thought maybe I had went too far at 4% and started down the "more is less" road. I'm not mixing it with a lot of other flavors, just coconut and cardamom right now. And both of those are at low percentages. :-/

Good idea. Thanks for the help Smoky!
The batch before last was
4% FA White Peach
1% FA Coconut
0.5% FA Cardamom

The Cardamom was a little strong and I remembered how Thunderball's Peach Cocktail recipe had a nice Peachiness to it so I tried this earlier.
3% FA White Peach
1.5% FA Strawberry
1% FA Coconut
0.4% FA Cardamom

The Strawberry added a welcome fruitiness and the Cardamom is headed to 0.25% next time but the Peach is still way in the back. I have TFA Juicy Peach but was hoping to keep it all FA if possible.

Maybe the coconut is muting it? I had some Catalan Cream in there that I thought was the culprit but it wasn't.

If it helps I've been using these mixes in an Atlantis (25W) and an Arctic (30W) tank. Neither tank is a superb flavor chucker but the cardamom has no trouble coming through.

try this:
1.5% white peach
.75% strawberry
.5% coconut
.25% cardamon

or cut your mix in half.. the coconut is probably the culprit here.. ;)
keep your wats at around 25 to 27 with the atlantis..

I'll try that this evening. Thanks a lot for the help! I have a Pear recipe that I'm having a hard time getting enough Pear out of. Guess what's in it as well? Yep, coconut. Hooray learning!
