Tried my luck at wrapping my first coil. Suggestions and thoughts are appreciated.

Looks fine to me, although it looks like twisted wire. Is there such a thing as a twisted Clapton? I'm not well-versed in all the different coil types.

Do you need it spaced to fit your atty or are you going to tighten the wraps when you dry-fire it?

Let us know how it vapes, ok?

It is lights up and even looks fantastic.. all that matters is that it works and satisfies you but why not start doing simple coils and work your way up when you get more comfortable. Simple coils most the time work just as well.. opinions vary I guess but just my own opinion šŸ˜† I've never used any thing but simple and never ever had an issue

Id say there was to much tension on your cor wires. Causing them to twist.

Id also recomend going to 36 or 38g wrap wire

How can I get them tighter? I tried a couple times with no luck.

When you dry-fire the coil, take some ceramic tweezers and press the wraps closer together while the coil is hot. Then rake gently across the coils with the tweezers or something like a screwdriver, to get the hot spots out of the metal.

What metal are they made of?

They're gorgeous, but they look like they'd spit like a bitch. Do you not have that problem with twisted wire? I might just not have had watts up high enough, because every twisted coil I ever tried burned me and pissed me off! :)

A couple of those look like twisted staged coils. Bet they get hot fast! Best thing about staging with round wire.
