My first kayfun

Well..ive read so much about this leaks and that leaks and the wick has to be perfect and i havent experienced any of that so far...I built a simple 30g 7 wrap coil on 1.8mm i.d and come out to 1.7 ohm...Used organic cotton for wick and left the tails just barely touching the deck and im pretty happy so far with it.

Flavor is good..its not extremely airy but its what i would call a lose mouth to lung hit...Its more air than my taifun i just tried today as well.

I have to be honest though the taifun gives me better flavor from start to finish...it seems the kayfun takes a second or 2 on the draw before i get a decent flavor with it.

The taifun is a 2.1 ohm built at that.

I'll keep using the kayfun and see if i get any leaks or dry hits...so far so good and im happy with it .

The Kayfuns are very decent toppers IMHO.

I have never had one leak on me unless I messed the build up.

Im surprised i havent had any problems...my first tank of this type really..i built the taifun first but expected something to be wrong and neither are showing any signs of problems...I guess i got it right on both builds the first time.

I'm pretty sure all the leaking issues you have heard about are with the new V4.. which is currently happening to me as we speak.. been leaking since day 1 (seems to be a cheap oring issue)

I've never had a leaking issue with ANY other version of the kayfun - in fact I'm switching back to the KFL I have because the v4 sucks so badly with leaking.. the flavor on the v4 is much better but it literally leaks out the airholes the entire time you have it filled..

I may try the 3.1 version..I did get one leak today...i unscrwed the top and refilled and after re installing it i got a bad gurgle and juice leaking from the air flow hole..but it did clear out and stop leaking..no more gurgle either.

Im liking it so far..has good flavor over any of the kanger tanks ive owned bit still havent found it better than the taifun gt flavor wise...Maybe a few different coils and wicking technique will make it better.

Mine is an ehpro 3.1. I like the features it has including the bottom cap. It only leaks if I do something wrong, but if I do, the bottom cap catches the leak internally and prevents any external leaking. I also like the two filling options (not talking top filling either). It has adjustable airflow and two coil mounting options. There's a ridiculous number of accessories available also. It's the only kayfun I need.

I think mine is a tobeco..it came in a tobeco box anyways..Think i have the lite + version...When i get some 28g ill try to do a better coil for it and play with wicking, see what happens.

I was eyeing alot of the shit fasttech has for it..maybe a nano kit with the different top and some air flow mods to it to finish it up.

Gonna do a mod thread on the Taifun GT when my next one shows up i bought last night..

And seriously looking at the sigelei mini 30w but cant get one in silver at the good price from 101.. .sigh.
