So this is my first coil ever. I made some Clapton's with 24g and 30g ss. It was .151 ohms when dry firing and ended up at .143 ohms after wicking and cleaning it up a bit. I did six wraps at 3 mm. This pic is not very good and makes it look funky but I swear it looks great in real life. This is just the beginning. I have big plans for coil building.

Thanks. Was really a quick thing. Only took about 2 minutes. The hardest part was my 30g kept wanting to unspool on me. It was wound pretty tight on the 100' roll and it wanted to be free.

My first attempt at a zipper coil. I made two but my mod would ohm out on it. Each coil comes in at .16. I do know it ain't pretty but man it hits hard and the flavor is crazy. Massive cloud as well, even for one coil. 6 strands of 28g 316lss 3mm with 6 wraps. It looks much better in person, or I just need my eyes checked. It would look much better if I had clamp type posts. The grub screws twerked it up bad.

I did after I noticed it. I hit it with the cap as I was taking it off. Thanks for the suggestion though, I will ensure to keep it away as best I can from now on.

Cool beans, good first job.

Mess with smaller gauge wrapping wire, I won't use anything larger than 34g. My go to is 36g and 38g, better ramp up time along with not holding heat so long.

Thanks. I've been building up a storm latley. Built some fused Clapton's, twisted fused, staggered, tiger, crap a bunch now. Been using the 40g a bit. Made a 40 on 36 Clapton that was a pita. I have a full week off so I think I'm gonna go a bit crazy and build until I can't build no more.

Thanks. To date my favorite coil is the zipper. It gives me tons of flavor and tons of vapor and the ramp up time is really quick. I think I'm gonna make a bunch for my new collection.
