So, i have an IPV5 and everytime i fire to vape ..my ohms jump from like .25 to .36. I press "fire" to vape again and it goes from .36 to .4 and back to .27 again. All screws are TIGHT and my velocity RDA sits flush and is tightened. What seems to be the problem? Since, its regulated its safe to just keep vaping on it? thanks.

what metal are you using? is the mod in the correct mode?
its a velocity, some of them have been known to clip the legs of the coils. make sure they are not clipped.
also make sure the 510 pin is still tight and where the positive post screws onto the 510 is not loose and the insulator is intact.

its a 26/32 SS clapton. This is my first RDA so can you clarify what CLIPPED means?

if you tighen the nut to far some of the velocities can clip or cut the wire. It wont necessarily appear that way at a glance but that can be enough to make the resistance change. (ohms jump)
Using Clapton wire, can also give it issues, again, if you tighten the nut to far you can cut some of the wire that is wrapped around the coil it may be best to try using a regular while you are learning the tolerance of the posts and nuts and how hard to screw them down

I have a ipv4 and i use to have this,
When u heat op the coil for the first few time i had to tighten the nut just a little it that fix it for me.
Or the first time u tightent it to far and cut the wire.
Fiddle with it a little.
I dont think ita your ipv5

Screws for the coils may be loose. Even if you tighten them, they will occasionally need to be tightened again due to the constant heating/cooling of the metal causing it to expand/contract.

If the 510 pin isn't making a very good contact with the mod it can cause the ohms to jump, can try screwing out the pin on the RDA a bit to see if that helps. Or if the pin on the RDA or mod is dirty.

If the 510 threading on the RDA is loose then ohms can jump as well due to not having a good electrical connection. I have a clone RDA that is like this, the threading is very loose and I can easily wiggle it around if it isn't screwed down all the way. I've had it jump from 0.2 ohms to 0.5 ohms while taking hits. Either have to wiggle it around while taking a hit to keep it connecting good, or really screw the RDA down tight.

It could also be just a "dirty" 510 connection. I usually clean my 510 connections on my mods at least every other week, with a q-tip and some 90% Isopropyl alcohol.
