i just got the nebox and it came with two coils. They are listed as ssocc.15 and ssocc.5. The .15 has a blue ring is that the nickel one? It doesn't say anywhere on the coil or box that it's nickel. The .5 has a red ring is that just kanthal?

Yes, the one with the blue ring is Ni200, and the other one with the red ring is stainless steel (I think 'ss' in the 'occ' stands for stainless steel).

Yea that's what I figured the ssocc meant stainless steel. But the one with a blue ring also says ssocc on the box

It does? I missed that! But I do know it's the Ni200 coil :) So maybe the other coil isn't ss, but just has an ss housing?

Yea so the blue one is not nickel? I'm trying to figure out what mode to run this thing in

Yes, the blue one IS nickel! But start it low - apparently the TC doesn't work properly.

Now I'm reading the .5 is titanium coil. I just wish they would label things clearly

Don't see nothing on the .5 would think it would be kanthal with the red ring

I already contacted Kanger. Waiting for a response.

Since there's only one correct answer for each type of atty coil, most of the information out there is wrong. Hopefully they'll reply soon.

Example of misinformation: One site will say a Ni200 SSOCC coil is nickel. Another will say stainless steel-coated nickel. Another says straight stainless.

Yea they are not clear on the box what they are. Amanda did find on there site the .15 is nickel but what is the .5 it has a different color band on it so probably not nickel

I found it in the literature in the box. One coil is Ni200, and the other is Nichrome.

I didn't see anything in the box that dates what they are. But then again I missed what kanger said on the website so I will have to look again

God I miss a lot when I read need to slow down. It says ssocc (ni-cr/ni200). So the .5 is nichrome

Yea I haven't found anything on it. I got a evic mini that is upgradable. My main plans for the nebox is wattage mode anyway
