OMG I need a good cherry flavor. Have been using TFA Maraschino Cherry, and once I used it in a Chocolate Covered Cherries mix, where I can really taste the cherry, I realize that it just isn't very good. I think this recipe would be awesome if I had the right cherry base to start with.

I want a "bright" flavor that tastes like the cherry you get on the top of a hot fudge sundae, or the cherry of a Tootsie Roll pop. Is there such a thing?

First inclination was to add more cherry flavor to this mix, but no, that's just going to make it even more "muddy" and chemical-tasting than it already is. My funds are limited and I'd prefer not to have to try every cherry flavor out there. So, recommendations?

Think I've answered my own question. TFA Maraschino Cherry loses that chemical taste after about 3 weeks. The Spumoni I mixed 3 weeks ago is pretty good now, none of that wretched dish soap flavor in sight.

I found TFA Maraschino Cherry to be stronger than many other TFA flavors. In a brandy sour recipe I was working on, .5% was way too much. You may consider blending your TFA Maraschino Cherry with some INW or other brand cherry flavors to find what you are seeking.

LorAnn Maraschino Cherry is absolutely spot-on authentic... but you would need to get their clear version; the one I had was their "food" version, and it contained a lot of artificial color, made everything I used it with come out pink. I've gotten over my hatred of artificial flavors, but there ain't one damn reason in the world to use artificial color -- not even in food, but certainly not in a vape!

Thanks @AndriaD and @RonJS ! As much cherry as I use, the LorAnn will be in my cart next time I order flavors. Sounds like I also need to do a couple of testers for strength of the TFA.

For a more "real cherry" flavor, TFA's Cherry Extract is hard to beat -- I call it the Goldilocks of cherry flavors -- not too sweet, not too tart, not medicinal nor maraschino. But for actual maraschino flavor, yeah, LorAnn's is the real deal.
