Hi. Looking for a tank recommendation. I'm new to vaping.

Have tried an Arctic with the .2 coil (gets hot easily, have to use way too much suction to get much clouds.1

Have also tried a Innokin subg (.5 coil) which stays very cool, gives beautiful and big cool clouds but goes through juice like crazy.

These are the things that I am looking for, in the order of most important first: save $ on juice (so goes through juice slower), flavor, clouds.

I'm using an EVIC VT mod, so it can be a tank that uses kathal or titanium (I'm allergic to nickel, so that's out)

Thanks so much in advance.

I was told the lower the ohms, the more the clouds and the faster the juice burns up. Is that not correct?
That is correct. Why, you may ask?

Disregarding the large number of juice, air flow and user variables for the moment and looking only at the coil/wick performance...

Because as you lower resistance, you increase wire net surface area. Assuming you have sufficient wattage to produce an adequate heat flux (radiant heat value)... and a wicking media with sufficient retention and capillary performance to replenish without burning (user and air flow variables should be seriously considered here)... then you will consume as much juice as that surface area and wicking performance will allow.

The amount of 'cloud' you get is directly proportional to the amount of eliquid you go through. You can't have one without the other.

Try higher ohm coils (for the tanks you have). You'll have smaller clouds (and therefore go through less eliquid).

I saw some threads with people saying the Innokin Isub's had a 1.0 and maybe even higher ohm coils now. Would i be able to use those on my isub G that came with .2 ohm coils?

I told you what I knew... though I seem to have imagined the 1.2 or 1.5. Wishful thinking I guess, I don't want the 2.0.

Do you really have the 0.2, I thought we established you had the standard 0.5 (too many iSub threads ATM).

Vapor Beast shows the 0.2, 0.5 and 2.0. Others will start stocking them soon I presume.

I got the .5 confused with the .5 in the arctic I have. Sorry bout that.

And did you say you wouldn't want the 2.0? If so, can I ask why?

THanks so much for the Vapor Beast info. I really appreciate it.

So you have the 0.2? Ok, I said I've had all of my iSubs for 3 or 4 months, I hadn't even known about the new coils until this past week. Do they include a second in 0.5 or are both 0.2?

I don't use or build over about 1.2, I can't even mouth-to-lung hit anymore (tried - failed). So I don't have a use for the 2.0 in the tank.

The box is upstairs, so now I can't remember whether it was .5 or .2 that came with it.

Sorry I'm so ignorant about all this (new to vaping). What does that mean about mouth to lung and why you don't like over 1.2 ohms?

Seems like it would work, only based on the fact that Innokin made that coil for that tank, along with the subohm coils.

So when you say you can't m-t-l, is that because you usually use subohm coils, and it's pretty much impossible with those?

I am by no means an expert on this but I think there's a couple different factors here. As regards 'clouds' and MTL vs straight lung hits, it's not just the coil resistance but the wicking capability and the power of the battery. And they all have to work together.

With high powered batteries, you don't *need* low ohm coils to get good results. I strongly suspect that the iSub's 2.0 ohm coils are designed to work on bigger batteries and have better juice flow than the (let's say) 1.5 ohm coils I used to use in a Protank. I'm looking forward to trying them because certain flavors (coffees, chocolates, etc.) simply don't taste right at low-ohms. If I can use higher ohm coils and increase the battery power to compensate, I should be able to enjoy my favorite flavors and still get a nice cloud with straight lung hits.
