Need advice for upgrading

I've read some of the threads about on VU about the Smok X Cube 2 and I'm on the fence. I'll be upgrading from a MVP 3 and I need something with more power and the TC thing has really caught my eye. My only hold back right now (besides all the negative reviews/info on that thread) is that the holiday season is coming up and I saw that Smok is making a X cube mini with lots of "improvements" not to mention more mods and deals may be coming out around that time. I've got the itchy clicky buy button finger going on. What should I do?

There's always going to be something new on the horizon. Whenever you buy something there'll be something better the next day! Keep reading reviews, though - as you've seen some mods have inherent problems that are indeed fixed in the next generation

IPV 3li 200W TC with Ni and Ti wire YIHI SX330 chip good reputation. IPV 4s 120W Ni and Ti wire YIHI SX330 chip and fixed all the problems with the IPV 4. I love mine, works like a champ. I also have an IPV D2 (YIHI SX130 chip) that keeps me happy out and about.

I also have an Mclass (God's Mod SX350J) and mostly do TC all my other mods are collecting dust or are sold off. Except for the D2 the others can be upgraded.

Patience is a virtue. Don't jump the gun. Investigate, investigate, then investigate some more. In the long run you'll be better off

If you can afford to spend $40-$50 now without it breaking the bank, then the IPV D2, Joyetech eVic-VTC Mini, or the SMY 60w TC Mini are all good value for the money and will be a serious upgrade from the MVP 3. By the time the holiday sales roll around, many of the "new" mods will be out and you can probably pick up one as a new "primary" mod and have the "old" mod as a backup. Here are a couple others at the same rough price point, but I have not actually tried them ... Sigelei 75w and Aspire Pegasus. All of these mods are small form factor, single 18650, with at least 60 watts and temperature control.

On the other hand, if your budget is so tight that you can't afford to buy one now and a newer one later, then I would recommend waiting until the new mods are out and the holiday sales arrive. Black Friday sales are my nemesis, that is when the best prices can usually be found, although that is still 2 months away. You can also keep an eye on the forums, I've seen a couple of the mods I listed pass through there at great prices.
