Hello everyone, i have an 26x2GA + 32GA Claton wire and i need help to figure out its ohms by lenght, we all know that wrap count or diameter makes no difference if the lenght of used wire is the same. I've seen on steam engine there's some calculators but i have no idea how to measure it. Maybe anyone could do it for me ?
P.S. My ohm tester and multimeter is dead. Ohm Tester shows bad ohms, jumps like crazy, lets say i screw it just a little bit tighter it jumps down to like 0.02ohms and if i losen it just slightly it goes up to like 5ohms. It even shows like 0.5ohms when there's no coils.

Also my target resistance is around 0.4ohm @ Dual or 0.8ohm per coil.

Go buy a meter.. could try the wire wizard on steamengine. But i wouldn't trust the build till I used a meter on it.

Yea I agree with Hondadavidson use an ohm metter only way to be safe. But it sound like the insulator seperating the connections on your ohm reader came out of place or got squished from overtightening. This happened to me so I took it apart and put a small ruber 0-ring in its place and its worked great since. Though i should prolly go get a nice usaa meter...
