don't put a battery in it and leave it alone.....go on youtube..there is most likely a review of the rig mod and they most likely will break it down and put it back together again, or go on the internet and there most likely will be a video of a review by the manufacturer...pictures would help.....

here.

The battery and mech are toast.
Dispose of them both properly and go back to using a regulated.

They say curiosity kills the cat but in this case you were lucky. Glad it didn't blow up on you. Don't really get the whole mech mod thing but stories like yours and others makes me even more determined to use my regulated mods. I would have likely done the same thing out of curiosity so I better stay with what I have. Hope everything works out for you !!

the vast majority of vaping was done on mech mods ...safely .....you just have to bother learning about what you're doing.

Several things. One, sounds like you shorted out. Your lucky you didn't lose a hand due to an exploding battery. Battery safety is the first thing someone needs to master if you ever wanna use a mech mod. Chances are you put something back wrong. What kind of atty are you using? Is it an RDA? Whats the resistance of the coils? What kind of battery did you use? All these things contribute to vaping an unregulated mod safely. If you used a knock off battery, which is what most vape stores sell, then there's the possibility you had too many amps for the battery to handle. There's a lot of things to consider to keep from blowing the battery up.

My only advice toss the battery and the mod both and stick with using your regulated device until you learn ohms law and how to use a mechanical safely I can not in good conscience give you any other advice.
