Hi guys,

I'm fairly new to vaping and enjoying it a lot. So far I don't miss my analogs in any way specially because the smell just started to feel so bad and all my sports stats jumped of the chart.

I started with an Ego-C and a Kanger T2 and it's a very enjoyable experience. I'm was vaping at 0ml because I never felt the need for nic but the throat hit is somewhat important so I'm starting to mix it with 6ml... also to make me vape less.

Right now I'm using a Mini Volt kit that comes with the Mini Tank and the problem I have is that the tank is sub-ohm and has a lot of airflow. It's drinking my juice fast and I'm looking for that tighter draw with a decent amount of vapor. The mod is amazing due to size and looks and it feels great. I hope it will function properly so I don't ever need to get another one because I've researched a lot already and I really can't find anything I like more.

That said, I'm wondering if u guys could give me some help on a new tank for the Mini Volt that can take coils between 1.2 and 1.8 (it will save my small battery life also), produces a decent amount of vapor and doesn't leak.
Also, should I look into something like the nautilus mini or just jump right into an RTA and start learning to build my coils ? Perhaps the 2 ? An RDA is really out of the equation since I really don't want to carry around a bottle of juice.

Thanks guys

If you don't mind purchasing coils, the nautilus mini would be a great way to go for a good vape without a ton of vapor. You want to look for mouth to lung tanks. Those will be easy on the juice and battery because they operate at lower voltages.
If you do like the airflow of the volt Mini tank, you may want to check out a RTA and build your own coils. There is a learning curve but YouTube videos helped me out a ton and pretty much taught me everything about building a wicking coils. I recently got a Wotofo Serpent RTA and gives a nice vape at low wattage. Watch some Grimm Green and Phil Busardo videos to get some tank ideas if you want to go that route.

Both of these will fit the bill, plus complement the size, and don't break the bank.

Ty guys really helpful so far.

On the Kanger T2 I can do mouth-to-lung and direct-to-lung depending on the amount of vapor I want so I really like it's flexibility. Before purchasing the nautilus mini I'm buying the 510 adapter to put my T2 on the Mini Volt and try the restricted airflow/smaller drip tip and see if I like it at 20W.
So far I really enjoy the airflow on the Mini Volt Tank but it's not for all-day use. Perhaps somewhere during the day for some clouds but I'm really looking for vapor density and tight airflow.
I thought the Nautilus Mini was able to produce some good vapor even if not sub-ohm ?

I would really like to get into RTA specially because of aesthetics and not needing to go to the store and get coils.

I must second the Nautilus Mini but I disagree with the vapor comment as I can't vape in the truck without opening the window! I honestly think it gives you way more than the deepest drag of a cigarette used to provide.

Hey just my opinion and I have seen the clouds produced by drippers

I agree with the above, the nautilus mini or the eleaf Gs tank. The Natilus mini, is really ideal. I vape both mtl and dl, mostly using rebuildable tanks, but the nautilus is a VERY GOOD vape if you like to mouth to lung vape. Plus the coild will be very easy to find and inexpensive, so your maintenance cost will be relatively low.

congrats and welcome to vu!

Just a slight correction, the mini vengeance tank uses .2 and .8 ohm coils, which are you using? If you are not using the .8 coil, you should be. It will make a difference in juice consumption and battery life.

I'm using the .8 coil. Vaped today all day at 16W and lasted the whole day and a whole tank... however when I got home I switched it to 20W and the vapor felt so much better... I think I can get some good battery life between 20-25W with a 1.5/1.8 coil on this or no ?

I think I'll get a Nautilus Mini to have a different type of tank and an RTA to start practicing the builds and learning about the coils in the meantime.

Should I take into consideration the juice for each tank or I'll be fine with one juice for all the tanks ? so far I'm enjoying some tobacco flavour with 3ml nic at 50/50. I don't think I'll be able to smoke the sweet stuff but I'm yet to try. Also, I'm afraid of all the stuff that's added in there but perhaps I shouldn't ?

Welcome to VU!

In your first (original) post, you mentioned the tank that came with your mod had too much airflow. You know, you can adjust the airflow, right?
If you want to safe some money, get the Kanger Toptank Mini. It comes with a RBA for building your own coils. In addition, you can get a variety of replacement coils, you can even use the replacement coils made for the Kanger Subtank (square shaped). I think, the Mini Volt doesn't have TC, so make sure to use either stainless steel, or Kanthal coils.
I recommend finding another eJuice you might like, so you can switch flavors. Using the same liquid over and over, could lead to "vapor's tongue", the inability to taste this liquid. Ideally, you have 3-4 different eJuices, that you can switch during the day.

I second the Kanger and switching flavors to prevent vaper's tongue.

Another option for the new builder is the Bachelor RTA, for which there are several YouTube reviews. It took me a little while, but now I enjoy the tank and use it some every day. Single coil, postless deck, option of semi prebuilt coils that are already wicked (I found those on eBay).

For the Nautilus, I use the Triton Mini coils that fit both tanks. Better flavor, more vapor, lasts longer, handles sweet and darker juices.

I also found I vaped less often and used less juice when using a little more nic. I started too low. It was like switching from reds to lights, but craving and smoking more. Finally, there are deals to be had on inexpensive juice, and many forum threads. Valley Verde Vapes is not bad. There are many others.

Another option for a tank that also has an rba would be the tfv4 micro. It's smaller than the kanger so look better on your mod. It has 1.8 ohm 1.2 and alot of other choices. The single coil rba is also decent. Also has top fill and all the bells n whistles.

How is the triton w the 1.8 ohm coils? Curious...
I know the cubis allows for mouth to lung as well-
Nautilus did drag like a cigarette to the T.

As good as the TFV4 tanks are, you have to secure the swiveling top fill with the silicone ring, in order to avoid accidental spillage. That's why my TFV4s are in the "junk" box.

Better than the kanger imo. Not much else that offers a good single coil rba though. Could get v the reaper plus than the tfv4 micro rba it'll fit. Or even the ace rba will fit i think will know forsure soon.

Ye I know the Mini Vengeance has the adjustable airflow but even when I have it almost closed it still flows and I get a lot less vapor doing mtl on it and also the large drip tip feels awkward.

You guys think I could DIY some 100% VG juice with distilled water and use it on a nautilus mini ? I've been having some ear pressure and ringing since I started vaping and stopped yesterday after reading a lot of stuff about PG... I really want to try some 100% VG juice now but I'm afraid to burn all my coils everyday.

Be sure to drink plenty of fluids, as vaping can be dehydrating.

I don't use only VG, but I will use max VG (still a little PG in the flavoring), or at least 70% VG. I tried adding VG to an existing sweet 50/50 liquid, and it ruined the flavor, but I'm not an e liquid DIY yet.

Not sure high VG is well suited for the Nautilus and its' small coils. The Kanger handles it ok, to a point.

Another thought, full size Triton 2- can take a large number of different types of coils, 0.3 up to 1.8, not including temp control coil. Some of these are ok in the wattage range your mod provides. I believe it can also use Atlantis coils, like the 1.0, and 0.5 that vapes at only 25-30w.

Alright so I got the Nautilus Mini and some 80/20 vg/pg juice to go with it. I also had to buy a new drip tip cause the original is too long for my Mini Volt :teehee:.

It's vaping really well at 13W and the flavour on these 0ml nic flavours is incredible. After going through these coils I'll get some 1.6 ohm or maybe the mini triton coils at 1.2 so I can increase the wattage a little.

Ty guys

The juice holes in the nautilus coils then to be on the small side of the spectrum, you are fine with a 60/40 vg/pg juice but going higher on the vg is begging for a dry hit. The triton mini coils will give you more flavor in the nautilus, at least the claptons do.
