Need some advice on my next mod

So I've been messing around with different builds in different attys and am kinda tired of switching them out on my mods (I know, I'm a lazy bastrd). I currently have 2 200w (rx200 and snowwolf) mods, a 75w mod, and a 60w mod.

I'm looking for something at least 100w w/ temp control. Im also open to DNA 200 options, but I mainly just want a mod that can handle over 100w builds.

Budget wise, not looking to spend over $200.

Also, looking to know what are the best batteries for the mods as well.

Thanks for any tips and/or suggestions.

You have the reuleaux? Or the tfv4? Either one you have you should purchase my other suggestion lol tfv4 imo is always the best way to got because their atomizer selection is very wide that can satisfy any vaper lol

I still prefer my IPV3LI to my IPV5. However, for the money it's definitely a great bargain. I did have to super glue one of the magnets that popped out though.

My magnet popped off too, but realized to late and need to see if I can find a tiny button magnet like that to glue back on. Was so frustrated but the battery cover still holds good even with just the bottom magnets LOL.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Yeah I have the LiVr but it died on me. Not sure what happened, but it just doesn't work anymore.

Yea, I've been looking at the lavabox for awhile now. As I have had nothing but good times with the rx200, I was thinking about getting their dna200. Any suggestions on which one you prefer? Thanks again.

I prefer my Lavabox's. I'm vaping on the Blood Red one right now. I really like them all but find myself using the Lavabox's and VT200 the most because they are more pocket friendly and feel great in hand.

I tend to use the Hotcig DX200 when going out for awhile because with the 2 x 18650 battery compartment I can bring extra 18650's if needed (the 2 x 18650 compartment was an additional purchase, it comes with a 3s Lipo). It's also what I consider my beater DNA200 because it has a few scratches and dings (from flying out of my pocket when getting out of the car and skidding at least 10 feet down the cement driveway ) but works as good as the day I bought it.

The Reuleaux is great if you are looking for the Ultimate battery life but it's a bit heavy and I don't consider it pocket friendly. They all work the same (except the DX200 when using the 2 x 18650 compartment because DNA200's are capped at 133 watts when only using 2 batteries - other than that they all function exactly the same). All depends on your personal preference (aesthetics) and what you are looking to get out of them runtime wise. Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Steve

It definitely helps. I really don't need 200w sustained or pulsed lol. I rarely go over 100w so I'm not worried about the 133w cap. The fact that the lava box has that option to use 18650s is a huge plus. LoLz I think I'm just gonna end up getting both, but as the lavabox is cheaper ATM, I think I'm gonna grab that one first.

Any tips on batteries? I've got a bunch of hg2s and a few unused 25rs. Either of those good for it or is there a better option?

The Lavabox isn't the one with the 2 x 18650 option unfortunatly. It's the Hotcig DX200 that has that option.

The lavabox does however have an optional 1300mah 3s Lipo pack and frame extender available. As seen in this thread.

PS I believe you can the DX200 with the 900mah Lipo pack for $125 shipped at FastTech with the coupon code MAP. The 2 x 18650 battery compartment is an additional ~$25 using the same code iirc.

Volcano (the maker of the Lavabox located in Hawaii) usually have a 10% off coupon and once in awhile run 20% off. I got my Blood Red Lavabox during their Presidents Day Sale for ~$135 shipped via 2 day FedEx (20% off then). Deals can be had if you look.

One other thing - HCigar makes a 2 x 18650 DNA200 (133 watts) called the VT133 that is about $125 shipped if you are interested in going the 2 x 18650 route.

Sweet. I'm gonna check out the dx200. One of the reasons I was looking at the lavabox is they're local. I just really haven't had good experiences with Lipos.

The Wismec DNA200 would be perfect, but I really don't like the battery slots or the screen. I kinda wish they just kept the rx200 design, but just threw the dna200 chip in it.

The hcigar looks nice. Gonna check that out too.

Guess that's the good and bad thing about the market right now, there's so many options LoLz.

What's the battery life like on the lavabox? I'm hesitant to buy anything that utilizes internal batteries.

Somewhere between a single 18650 and dual 18650 mod (probably closer to a single). It has a 900mah 3s Lipo (three 900mah Lipos wired in series).. There is also an upgraded 1300mah 3s Lipo available. Bigger battery means bigger, heavier mod though. I have a few different DNA200's so I either take out the Reuleaux or DX200 (with the 2 x 18650 battery compartment) when I'm going to be out all day or I bring 2 of my smaller ones. I can't give you how long it lasts because that depends on how much you vape. If you vape 5ml a day, it should easily last all day. f you vape 15ml a day, it probably wouldn't. Like I said I have more than 1 so when 1 needs recharging, I plug it in and grab another 1. I can say it won't last me all day unless I plug it in along the way, it does however have pass through charging which lets you vape on while it's charging.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for all the tips all. Ran down to one of the shops and ended up getting another rx200 LoLz. It's the red and black one and was only $33 so I couldn't say no.

Thanks again.

Good choice, even though you already have one hehe.

The Reuleaux form factor is the best I've seen, I especially like that I can set it on a table and not have to worry about it tipping over.

Wish I had a shop like that around here! They all ask too much money or sell only beginner equipment.

Yea, I got lucky. I met the owner via the VA, so he gives me some pretty good deals (most of the time LoLz). Unfortunately, with the dna200 mods, there's not much of a mark up so thus no discounts.

@Scy123 Yeah, it's a nice feel. I think I'm gonna pick up the Reuleaux dna200 online and just have a nice lil line of them LoLz.

Stay with the reuleaux. Dna is far more expensive and it's only difference really is you can customize it to have different "folders" (for lack of a better word) that you can put settings in for different situations so you don't have to constantly adjust your wattage or temp etc . You would just go to your folder . And I also think you can customize the background screen color ... my opinion the price isn't worth it but it's all about personal preference
