I'm curious how you build that.
Just like mama used to say, nothing worth having comes easy.the coil sits in the white ceramic cup. your leads go in through the two holes on the edges of the cup. air comes from the center of the cup.
you wrap your coil a with a wire that goes NR (non-resistance) to R (resistance) to NR. so, its three pieces of wire. you can buy NR-R-NR wires or you can join the wires yourself. NR wire is also known as nickel wire because of its non-resistive property.
the reason why you need NR wire for your leads is because the leads go through that ceramic cup, and heating the leads not only does nothing for your vape, but it heats up areas of your atty you dont want hot. which leads (no pun intended) me to my next point: how the leads get secured.
you secure your positive lead with a hollow pin that pokes into the air channel from the under side of the atty. you secure your negative lead against the atty itself by tightening down the housing of the atty itself. kinda hard to describe.
these attys give outstanding flavor, but theyre difficult to coil. second in flavor only to a genny IMO- but those are even harder. now that kayfuns and drippers have come so far, you can have almost as good of flavor with less than half of the work. if youre willing to put in the work, youll get rewarded with better flavor. but to do a fraction of the work/time and still acheive nearly as good of flavor, i have abandoned this style atty as well as most of my gennys in favor of drippers and kayfun-style attys.
mama knows best!Just like mama used to say, nothing worth having comes easy.
I am so glad you like it!!!I just got in the Oddy OP sold me and made a coil for it exactly as instructed with nr-r-nr kanthal wire and silica wick...

It's at 1.6ohms as you can see and the flavour is pretty damn good actually. It only took me about 5 minutes to build and filling it up was very easy. I think i like this better than my Kayfun!
Thanks a lot man! btw, that mini hana clone came in the mail with it today! Perfect match! Funny thing is i had all the material needed to build this just sitting around waiting for the right home. Like it was meant to be. This is my new favourite setup for sure.
Here is another view of the coils and silica i used that both came from FT...

I meant to take pictures of the build as i had done it but got to excited about building it and vaping that i forgot. It's all on youtube anyway. They draw the description out for about 30min so you know exactly what you are doing. But in reality it takes no more than a few minutes to build. First try was a charm![]()
Those FT wires are nichrome. Just wondered if you can taste the difference. Some people like it some don't.
I can't taste a difference with the coil. I've used it on an RDA(Aniema) also once as a micro coil build and i could not tell if it added any taste at all compared to kanthal. I see they have pre-coiled lower gauge nichrome now and might get some of those to try out as well.
