I just melted it pinching my coil on a new build. I forgot I had the wattage jacked up to 80 for my plum veil.

BINGO!

I think?

Do you happen to have an old Evod or Protank head floating around?

If you take it apart, at the bottom you will find a little rubber insulating thingy.

Should work well with just a bit of imagination and swearing:D

Shouldn't be melting to begin with.

But what do you have to lose?

Lightning Vapes has Silicon replacement insulators to rebuild Protanks.

Silicon is not known to melt.

Give that a try for now, drink two beers and call me in the morning!

Glad it worked and let me know if it keeps working.

But I do have to tell you that you will have to go to either the Liquor store or carry out to fill my prescription.

And remember to vote for me as the mod of the year when the opportunity arrises.

And here is my pic from medical school..........................

In nj some pharmacies carry alcohol well mine does

In that case, God Bless NJ!

That would be a HUGE timesaver for me.

All kidding aside, keep in touch and let us know how well the repair holds up.

If it works well for you, it can work well for others!

mellow moxie is now in-stock for the veritas insulator. i emailed them yesterday and they put some more in stock. its the authentic nut, so im not sure if it will fit on my tobeco but i think it will.

http://www.mellowmoxie.com/?product=veritas-insulator

also, theres this:

http://solidspot.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2474

its 5 of them for 10 bucks shipped. i believe it to be the correct size. i measured with a caliper last night and the post came in at 1.9mm and the nut outside diameter was 3.9. so with 1.9mm, i suspect it to work with an M2 size nut, which is 2mm internal diameter.
