Needing a basic formula for 100mg nicotine

I know I ought to look back through threads here and elsewhere. May do that as well as asking.
What I need is the basic formula for taking 100mg nicotine base and adding it juice to dilute (cut) it down to say get 18mg per ml juice. My target batch size will likely be 1 L.

Okay, think I figured it out.

18mg/mL = 180 ml in 1000 ml solution

Looking at the how to of it I might be better to use 36mg/mL, would seem a bit safer route.

Here's the formula I was looking for. Found via Reddit.

You use this formula:

mL of juice * final nicotine concentration / nicotine base concentration.

Example if I want 10mls of 12mg/ml juice and I have 100mg/ml nicotine base, I use 10*12/100 or 1.2 ml of my nicotine base.

And yes, I apparently went looking it up for myself. Usually by the time I'm asking for help it's too late. Today, I decided doing something different. Been considering buying nicotine and mixing up my own unflavored "base" juice. Doubt there will be much as far financial savings, although I might be pleasantly surprised. I though would value the experience in doing it up myself. Besides that, it gives me yet another skill I can barter if needed.

I ask in order though with hopes someone might offer the formula. I do not have recall enough for keeping every algorithm in my mind. I then recalled my own admonishing of others recently, thought to myself "a search engine is my friend". So all in I'm kind of demonstrating a few different skills and lessons here. Now, I'll hush because my question is answered and the problem solved. Time to move to the next one, or go finish up dishes, or go off with some Juan guy that rang the door bell. Not sure what i'm into next but there's always something next.

That is convenient. Being convenient was not exactly my point though. I knew there was a mathematic formula to go by and wanted to recall it. That way I don't need to be on-line necessarily to sort out how I'm mixing up juice, I can in worst case sort it using pencil and paper. Electric & the Internet can and do go out. Sure we got hand held calculators as well. Maybe those don't have batteries? Maybe I just rather have the know how, so I know how?

If you know stuff like that, it cannot be taken away except in the case you forget it. So you occasionally recheck what you know. Never hurts keeping a basic "tool box" in a person's mind. From there you can remember how to fish as well as how to create fire without matches or a lighter. I can think of about six ways off the top of my head, have tried about half of those with varying success. The important thing is I have that as a basic skill set & teach it to others.

I would not know it if I had not asked how it was done. But yes, I can enjoy using steam engine, or ecig express, any number of on-line calculators, I've even got a spreadsheet that does the calculations. It's not that I don't value the efforts of others, I do and I do make use of those. What does it hurt to learn to do it myself? Not a thing that I can tell. Does it mean I disrespect what others have done? No. It just means I like knowing how.

That's part of why I use Linux as well. I have the basic know how of how to create a basic "browser" program in C source code. Not sure yet I could do it or want to do it. I at least know it can be done, can know how. I like learning, without it, well I would say we die off but then how intelligent are we that use fossil fuels after learning how bad they effect our world? Of course, knowledge like any tool can be used with both positive or negative intention. It's not "wrong" though to learn, or to teach.

No i agree in knowing the math. I use the calculator out of ease of use. But say i want 18mg juice. 120 ml bottle. So 18x 120= 2160 total mg of nic needed. (I use 100mg per ml nic) then divide the total mg of nic needed by the strength of the nic. 2160÷100=21.6 ml of nic base needed in the recipe.

2.07 grams of 100mg nic 50/50 base in a 30 ml bottle. Mix 30 ml at 6mg all the time. Just have to buy 50/50 100mg nic all the time. Easy peasy.

Except...was just thinking to myself on the way in this morning that I think I need to up my nicotine. I'm having those days when I just look at my computer and draw a blank as to what to do next. I am whirring but not much else. Nicotine is my ADD med.

Will have to remember a new number. Drat. Perhaps tonight while I am sleeping my brain can scout around for an unused location where a new number can be kept. But then I may not remember my phone number?
