Nemesis shocking and burning me when i hit it..

I know a lot of people have the same problem with the Nemesis. But I am just curious to why it shocks and burns me?? Any feed back would be great. I am currently running my Doge RDA on it. With a 18650 Efest battery in it. I know the Nemesis is out dated. I am just waiting for my skyline to get here from Ameravape :)

You have a short somewhere creating Joule heating in the switch or mod.

you need to make sure your coil is not touching the inside of the cap on the doge, if I build twisted coils or more than 5 wraps, they sometimes touch the inside of the cap when I put the top of it on.

I first one went into near battery thermal melt down, thank God it welded the spring before hand.
Time to strip it down, I mean everything.
Take apart and clean the doge, everything!! center post and contact screw visually inspect the insulator. Rebuild and ohm test it with cap on.

The top cap and ring of the nemy, take the insulator out and center pin, check for flashing or metal flakes, so the same with the switch, no metal flakes anywhere. Clean it and reassemble it.
Make sure all connections are snug not overly tight.
Rejuice and test it out again.

The magnets in the switch of my Nem picked up a little piece of Kanthal once and did the same thing.
That little piece of wire somehow got all the way down inside the switch and was shorting it out.

That was were my current found the path of least resistance and arced.
I also had steel flashing from the top cap air holes welded to my atty, it was well hidden.

rubbish. the nemesis is a classic and will never be outdated. (i know you said dated) they even just came out with a recessed button for the nemesis. nemesis is the best mod out.
I prefer reliable classic myself.

your problem is not indicative of the nemesis. you can have the same problem with any mech. you have a short circuit somewhere in your setup, as was mentioned above. it could be something as small as a tiny piece of kanthal.
i got a short from a tiny peice of kanthal once. it was a peice that was clipped from the end of a coil lead. i clipped it and didnt notice where it went. finished my build, and when i fired, instantly got a short. pulled the build out and inspected it. turns out that tiny piece of kanthal (2-3mm long) landed in between the pos post and the deck, and got wedged. welp, that was most certainly the path of least resistance lol. clip your excess coil leads with the rda updside down to prevent this.

Thank you all for the feedback. I cleaned my atty and mod yesterday. I also did a rebuild and rewicked it. I haven't had it shock me or burn me since so I think it will be fine. Again thank you! I will post again soon if I have any future problems.

A safe vaper is a happy vaper.
I hate when before or after vaping I have to go over the list, spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch.
