i just received a copper SMPL clone mod and was excited to get it. i opened it up and saw that it was coated. just a basic clear coat from what i can tell. the inner tube and threads seem to be raw. i was hoping it wasn't coated when i purchased it, because i like patina. i want to partner it up with my copper little boy, but it looks kinda silly.
i was thinking about sanding it off, but heard you can chemically remove it. is this an easy process? is it just a matter of using paint thinner? if you've got the knowledge, let me know. thanks!
