The official Halo TV series trailer will be airing during the AFC Championship Game this weekend as the series inches closer to release.

The new trailer was announced on the show's official Twitter account during Microsoft's earnings call. It will appear during halftime in the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Halo TV series was first revealed during the Game Awards 2021, where we got to see a live-action Master Chief punch the ground along with a handful of other shots. The new trailer will presumably go into more depth concerning what to expect from the new show.

Halo has been in development for film and television one way or another for many years now, with District 9 director Neill Blomkamp among those involved in trying to get it off the ground. It was finally announced in 2018.

Pablo Schreiber will star as the Master Chief in the new series, which will be a separate canon from the games, with Jen Taylor playing Cortana. You can find the entire Halo TV series cast right here.

The AFC Championship Game will air on CBS on Sunday, January 30 at 12:05pm PT / 3:05pm ET. The Halo TV series will debut on Paramount Plus at some point in 2022.
