Just got it in and I'm wondering what settings it should be on for .5 coil from the same company.

I'll do the lowest temp but the instructions don't say anything else about the rest of the settings. Thanks!

With that coil, use temp control mode?

There are two types of 0.5 ohm coils: one is kanthal and one is titanium. If you have the kanthal one you will use power/wattage mode only. Look on the side of the coil and it should tell you which one it is!

NO, the pico that comes with melo 3 comes with regular ,03 and .05 coils that you use in wattage mode or bypass mode. You can run the watts 20 for less battery consumption.

One more question :) I think, is there a temp control in wattage mode?

Not in wattage mode you just have a wattage adjustment. Temp mode if for temp coils like ss, ti, ect. Get use to using it in wattage mode first

Will do, thanks! I accidentally fired it once when I'm temp control mode while monkeying around with the settings, any possible harm?

Oops

Might be harm if it leaks juice in the bottom or has burnt taste then use other pre soak coil. It could also gurgle

Coil is made of cotton, firing it with out juice will scorch the cotton and will cause burnt taste or it could burn the cotton totally it will leak gurgle or short out ect

It had juice, just fired it with juice on a temp control mode instead of the appropriate wattage mode?

But the harm would be only to the coil on the wrong mode with juice for one quick taste ?

Put a few drop of liquid onto the coil and then fire it up and see. If it tastes burned you may have burned the coil previously if you fired it dry (and if it actually fired in tc mode).

Wasn't dry, it was primed and only fired it once in a temp control mode. That's it.

Not dry at all
