New tank learning curve

I mtl and dlh. Just received the Protank 4 hoping to use it for both. So far I tried the .5 ohm ceramic coil and had good results. But my old Protank 3 does mtl better. I put the 1.5 coil in and struggle getting the airflow to produce a good mtl hit. Drip tip doesn't feel right for mtl. Otherwise it's a great tank with plenty of choices in coils. I've run the dual coil rba at .3 ohms, threw in the rba from my Nebox just fine for rebuildable 1.5 ohm. If anyone else uses this one, please post your opinion for mtl.

Update on Protank 4. It's not all good. The rba shorted. The positive post became loose. I found that this post is press fit and unstable on the deck. Bummer. With the mtl issues it is fast becoming just another subtank. Works great with .5 SSOCC coil, but with the rba crash and poor mtl performance it lost my vote. My mistake not waiting for reviews. This is just my opinion. And I'm no pro. Buyer beware.

got my protank 4 yesterday, so far so good, gets hot after some chain vaping and leaks but only at high watts(75)
Havent tested rba, never could get hang of it so i just use coils, so much better than their previous tank(cltank), also have topfill tank, loving the protank 4 so far, finger crossed

As far as I know the protank 4 was a departure from the previous mtl tanks and more of a direct lung sub ohm style. The protank 1/2/3 all had smaller drip tips for mtl and the protank 4 comes with the wide bore drip tip. I'd agree, wide bore drip tips suck for the mtl (in my opinion). It seems like there aren't any dual purpose atomizers that work well on both fronts and sometimes they suffer if they try. They can end up being too airy for good mtl and too restrictive for dl hits.

Maybe someone else can confirm but I'm thinking the protank 4 may also have a slightly wider chimney up through the center of the tank also (or maybe it just looks that way).

protank 1/2/3 i was vaping 18-24mg, protank 4 im down from 6mg(subtank) to 3mg(protank 4)
I dont know if this makes difference
