New to Disposables – What’s the Deal with High-Puff Counts?

Hey everyone,

So I finally kicked the cigarettes about three weeks ago (woohoo!) and a buddy pointed me toward disposables as an easier transition. I’ve been lurking here for a bit and figured I’d finally make a post since I’ve got some questions.

Here’s the thing – I keep seeing these disposables claiming crazy puff counts like 10,000, 15,000, even 20,000 puffs. Is that actually real or just marketing fluff? Coming from smoking a pack a day, my brain is having a hard time wrapping around that kind of longevity from something so small.

I actually picked up a JNR Alien 10K last week just to dip my toes in. Gotta say, the mesh coil is pretty smooth – definitely not the harsh hit I was expecting. Flavor’s been decent so far, but I’m only about a week in. I grabbed mine from AgoraVape.com since I’m in Europe and wanted quick shipping – showed up in like 4 days, which was nice.

But here’s what I’m wondering from you veterans:

  • Do these high-puff devices actually deliver on the flavor all the way through? I’ve heard horror stories about stuff tasting burnt halfway through.
  • How do you pick one that won’t leak or die on you after a week? Is there a brand or feature I should be looking for?
  • Any recommendations for a next step from the JNR? I’m not trying to go crazy, but if there’s something that hits a bit better or lasts longer, I’m all ears.
Also, any general tips for a newbie would be hugely appreciated. I’m still figuring out nic strengths, PG/VG ratios (do disposables even tell you that?), and all that jazz.

Thanks in advance for helping a former smoker out!
