got a new uwell crown and some spare coils yesterday. Primed it up, using the .5 ohm coil. Filled the tabk and waited another 30 min or so, taste like burnt popcorn instantly. Thought it just need broken in so i put a tank through it, same taste. Tried another new .5 coil, same thing. Juices taste great in my herakles tank. Any suggestions?

Go through a tank or so it gets better.
I prime my coils slightly different, in order to avoid the nasty taste of a new coil. I prime the wicking material and coil, as everyone does. However, instead of re-assembling the tank, I just screw the bottom part of the tank with the new coil on my mod, and fire it several times (it might splatter some hot juice though!), adding more juice if needed. I continue, until that funny smell is gone. After that, I re-assemble the tank, fill it with juice, and vape (without the nasty taste).
You still get that nasty taste though.
You still get vapor, thus the taste in your mouth. Or be more specific of what you mean by "blow out".
