new vapor. leaks and gurgle probs

Very new to vaping. Seigeli 3ow mini and viva nova tank. Bought this 4 days ago and am enjoying vaping. Ive been a pack or more smoker for many years and this is helping. The thing worked good and now is starting to leak into the mod. Im using uturn 18mg juice. Burning at 12 to 14 watts. From what i hear alot of tanks leak a bit. I went back to smoke shop on 2nd day and they said i might have a crap coil. So i bought 2 new bvc coils for it. Slapped it in and it worked good and even seemed like a smoother vape. Its now the 2nd mornin of new bvc coil and its doing the same thing again. Seems im cleaning the bastard more then vaping. Is this a shitty tank.? My smoke shop wasnt very helpfull but was more looking to sell me diff juices and more coils. Dont think im doing anything wrong. Im proud of my cig smoking stoppage and and enjoying vaping but this gurgling spitting and leaking shit is getting old very fast. Thx for any feedback

A buddy of mine has a vivi nova that leaks like a sieve. You're probably not doing anything wrong as you said. Maybe check the o-ring seals, but I'd, frankly, invest in a different tank. The VN is a really decent beginner tank but they are known to be hit or miss as far as leaking goes. Shitty tank? Nah. Just not the best.

Oh, and, a huge congrats on quitting the cancer stix.

Welcome to VU.
Man, I can't believe they're still selling that 4yr old tech, with all the much better stuff out now. I could never get those to run proper for my wife, after a few days either.
I prefer the higher ohm, low watt tanks, and currently have a Eleaf GS tank and Joyetech Cubis tank with 1.5 ohm coils in play, and work a lot better than that.

Welcome to the forum:)
I agree, I'd stop investing money in more coils and look into a better tank. I haven't had a leaky tank since those little CE4 tanks. Cruise around, look into what people are using for the draw you might be looking for. I like a mouth to lung tank, but there are a TON of direct lung tanks out there, too. I have the same tank that Rat mentioned, the Eleaf GS and I like it, too. If you're not into rebuilding a coil, it's a good choice. Another that people like is the Aspire Nautilus tank.

If you're looking for a really nice MTL easy starter kit, look at an Innokin T18 or T22. They're both just super. Easy to fill and vape with no hassles.

Might try the Aspire Nautilus Mini. Work great with the 1.8 coil for mtl vaping. My son in law just bought an Innokin Endura T-18 kit, and it is sweet. Was $29.00 at the vapordna store in Torrance, Ca. but I think it's the same price online. Vapordna.com

Thanks for your replys and feedback. I went out and bought the nautilus mini yesterday. Seems to be working good. We'll it's better then my old tank for sure. Vape hits are smooth and full of vape. I got so frustrated with the vivid nova that I had a cig. Man it was gross. Thanks again

Vivi Nova is old technology. Top coils with silicone wicks. The latest is Bottom Vertical Coil with organic cotton wicks like Nautilus coils. Take a close look at how the coils are constructed in order to see the difference.
You're just starting your search for the perfect vape. It can be a long and expensive journey. Be patient.

I love my Cubis with either the 1 ohm SS head or the 1.5 clapton head. And it NEVER leaks :)

Now do yourself a favor and try the Triton Mini Clapton coil in the Aspire Nautilus Mini. You will be floored by the flavor! Well, maybe not floored but definitely you'll be pleasantly surprised. Those coils put my Nautilus tanks back in use.

I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure it is 1.6-1.8 ohms, they also have a 1.2 regular type coil. I bought mine from sweet -vapes.
