Anyone looked at wotofo's site lately? Alot of new products that appear to not be released yet. I'm sure it is because of august 8th that they are there....put out there to meet deadline, but not officially released yet.

The restrictions on new devices will kick in about next august after the FDA has collected all the SKU's from all US retailers in the first quarter of next year.

This is something that the FDA will never be able to control. They might be able to prevent US vendors from carrying new items, but they can't stop US designers from designing them or Chinese factories from making them or overseas vendors from selling them. Further, since the devices are, afaik, not illegal to import, just to sell, it's doubtful anything will be seized either. And one or two units will never be considered "intent to sell".

Technically, all they had to do was soft release it before August 8th. As long as they made a SKU and sold one, it is considered to be on the market. So now they can mass produce them to ship out and stores can carry them. I know Vaperz Cloud and Wismec did this with a lot of new products.
