Hey guys, I'm excited to join this forum, looks like a plethora of valuable information and some good folks.
Definitely something I need being so new to this, lol. I smoked cigs from ages 15-27 , nearly 12 years. I was a pack a day smoker for at least 7 of those years. I had my last cigarette in February, it's been over two months now and I feel great. Not to mention the great flavors, no stinky smells, etc. Vaping has been an all around pleasant experience for me. Ever since I tried it, I couldn't stop. And I haven't even craved a cig since. I started at 12mg nic and after a week, went to 8, and after 2 months I'm staying steady with the 6mg. My only thing is that no one around me vapes, I have no friends to talk to about vape stuff and it's frustrating lol
My main motivation for quitting cigs is to save money. Hitting a rough patch in my life financially, and quitting cigs has already helped me a lot. My weekly cost went from around $70 to about 15$. I use rebuildable, buy coils at .50 cents a piece, cotton dirt cheap, etc. Most of my vape budget is spent on different juices.
I started with the kanger subox mini starter kit, I'm looking to upgrade my tank first and then upgrade my mod. Trying to take my time and learn what's out there first before I make a decision. There's so much to choose from, so much to learn. I'll be lurking this forum for sure.
Oh - and how I found this forum?
I have an EgoOne that I bought a few weeks ago as a backup - and it came in handy because I left my kanger in a friends car and wont be able to get it back for a week. So I started using the EgoOne, and within about 20 minutes, I dropped it and the button got stuck. I tried and tried to get the button unstuck to no avail. I figured I'd do a google search and see if this is a common issue with the mod, and sure enough, it is. I found a post on this forum and someone mentioned taking the tank off, turning it upside down, and slamming it on a hard surface (but not TOO hard). So I hit it on my table once and BAM, button like brand new. So I thought to myself "better bookmark this site.."
Anyways, I'm glad to be here and excited to be part of the community. I'm in Jacksonville, Florida. 27 years old. I work in the Fire Alarm industry as a technician and installer. I have a background in electronics and circuitry, So the inner workings of a box mod are not rocket science to me. Lol. Looking forward to meeting folks and contributing my own experiences to the community.
