i have a quick question i think about nichome80 wire. up to this point the most advanced coil ive made was called a tiger coil i think, it was wire made by twisting 26g kanthal with .5 ribbon wire. about 6 wraps around 3mm usually and its my faovrite ADV. ive been watching twisted messes and squidoode youtube videos to get into the more advanced claptons/staples etc. in the videos they primarily use nichrome wire in the place of kanthal and from what ive gathered nichrome can be used like kanthal but it has less resistance so as a result the resistance of the coil is lower. is that accurate?

The pro's may help better, but I think what you said is correct. If used for Clapton wrapping it has the benefit of reducing ramp up times as it heats up quicker than Kanthal. You can still use Kanthal as the core if you prefer and use N80 for the wrapping.
Hope this helps
