Nichrome build.

Ive been vaping for almost a year now. I Started with MVP2.0 then went to Hana Modz 30. I plan on buying an IPV D2 75W or iStick 100W mod box this week but in the mean time i would like to start messing around building coils (i already started and im HOOKED).

My questions is, Can i use Nichrome+Kanthal on a Fused Clapton for my Hana Modz or will the Hana Modz not handle the Nichrome?

Should i used Nichrome only?

I can't remember what the resistance limit is on the DNA 30 chip. I wanna say it was .3. If that's the case, then yeah, you could probably do it with something like 4 or 5 wraps @ 2.5mm with 28g of both kanthal and nichrome. I'm just not sure how well that will perform. I've personally never tried running one at that low of a wattage. Might want to wrap something really fine on the outside, like 36, 38, or even 40 gauge kanthal. Nichrome might heat up faster. Regardless, that's gonna put you at around .4.

So, yes, in a technical sense, you can. I don't think 30w is going to be very effective for a fused clapton, though. Even a regular clapton is going to be tricky. You might be better off just doing a standard one with 28g nichrome and 36g on the outside. A fused is just too much metal. Most claptons, I find, tend to need 5v or more to overcome the ramp-up.

Also, these are single coil builds. You're probably going to want to stick with that until you have more power to play with. I'd honestly recommend you try playing around with twisted 28 on that setup instead.

Thats what i am using right now. Experimenting with .3 builds but i guess i am limited and cannot get past 3.5 volts.

Im going to wait until i get the IPV D2 or iStick.

Thank You for your help.
