Nickle safety concerns

I bought a temp regulated ivp4s and bought nickle coils for my arctic tank to put on it. My experience with it has been so so. Now that it's getting colder, I get a lot of dry hits with 80vg even with temp control, so it really hasn't done too much for me. Watched and read a lot about the toxic hazards of nickle. My impression would be: smoked 2 packs/day for 25 years no problem, terrified of nickle today.

What are your thoughts?

Just dont take the nickel to too high of a temp trying to dryburn it to clean and it will not release any bad stuff.

I found with the arctic 60% is about right, 70% and I'm starting to notice the TC kicking and muting the flavor a bit as if I were using a dripper that is getting close to needed a drip.
I have seen others say they are fine with max VG but that's not my my experience. YMMV.

All I really vape is DIY so no big deal, I mix it at whatever ratio I want

I never got any dry hits with my arctic...ever....from 40-70 watts was my vape-and max vg juice almost exclusively. Reg coils though not the ni200
