Nitecore UM-20 usb charger

Just bought a nitecore um20 usb charger. I had heard they were smaller, and leaving on a trip in a month, I wanted something more portable than my Nitecore D2.

Pleasantly surprised how nice this little usb charger is. It won't fit a 26650, but I don't travel with one of those anyway.

It displays a percentage of battery charged vs the voltage like the D2. It seems to take longer to charge a set of 18650s as well. But the portability can't be denied.

Here's a pict with the size difference.

We have the UM10 too, now that one is tiny!

Only thing that really disappoints me about it is with having that USB cord it'd be really cool if it could act as a portable power pack (using the battery inside it to power USB devices). I think that was a missed feature for them.

Definitely a cool little charger though.

Original post was from a year ago, and I can say, it's still a great little charger. It lives in my vape bag, and has traveled to many places.

Whatever you do, don't skimp on the usb wall charger or cables. If you have a cheap under-performing usb wall charger, your batteries in the UM20 won't fully charge to 100%. This travels with me and can charge two 18650's in the UM20, a tablet, and a cell phone at the same time. They also have the new power port C version. For the car, this little PowerDrive is outstanding too. Have had really good luck with the iOrange-E braided usb cables as well.
