no atty found on presa tc

Whats up VU Family!

Been a while since I last posted. Guess things got busy over here. Hope you guys are all well.

Encountered a really strange problem today. My wismec presa 75 has decided to act up again. It has been working like a charm but today for whatever reason its not telling me that there is not atomizer found. I am currently running a vapeston magnus on it with a .5 coil. So when the tank is screwed in it won't fire even though it was working fine earlier today. It turns on and off so no issues there. The strange thing is that if the tank is screwed in very lightly (where there is wiggle from the tank and the mod) it won't read the resistance but will fire occasionally.

I have tried the following things:

1) cleaning the mod connector

2) cleaning the 510 threading on the tank

3) trying a new coil

4) trying multiple tanks

It is noteworthy to mention that using the magnus on my Rx 200 seems to work fine. I am hoping that there is something that I can do to fix this and not having to use this mod as a paper weight lol.

Thanks in advance guy!

Did you try to gently pry the 510 pin up with tweezers or a small screwdriver at the top of your mod?

Some mods with auto-adjust 510's get stuck downward, then you won't have a connection to fire the atty.

I did poke around a little with a micro flat head, trying to lift the connection. I will be honest I didn't really lift it as I was scared it might pop off.

If I was to "lift" it with the flathead is there a chance the connection would pop off?

I've never had the pin pop off, you can pull up quite hard, but in a gentle fashion, if that makes any sense.

Small needle-nose pliers work best, if you have them.

Tried to get in here with the needle nose pliers no luck. Also tried to lift the connection with the micro screwdriver still no luck.

Any chance this mod might just be toast even though it turns on?

Have you tried opening it up? If your worried about warranty I can tell you from experience that there isn't one. I had a similar issue after juice got in mine, so I just pulled it apart cleaned it up, and presto, works great. Little rubbing alcohol and a few Q-tips.

Thanks tanker. Haven't tried that yet. Looks like there are a few screws right by the magnetic case back. What kind of screw driver would I need?

Mine is just 3 small Phillips Heads, I had to go look again, but if you get on You Tube DJLsb Vapes does a review, and in it he disassembles it. I went back and watched the video before I pulled mine apart. Just make sure all the residual alcohol is dry before you turn it back on or reassemble it. Good Luck. I hope this fixes your issue.

Found the issue. Took the mod apart and the red wire that is soldered on to the 510 connection has broken off. Looks like I need solder it back on

Edit - wait a second what I just wrote makes no sense. If the wire was soldered on that would mean the unit would fire all the time. Sorry guys it's late here and I'm clearly an idiot.

Going to San down the unit and see if that works
