No matter what I try, I get bad results :/

From all the RDA's I've purchased (Marquis clone, Tugboat v2 clone, Mutation X v4), I've never gotten a satisfying vape from a regular single or dual coil build. I'm currently using a Billow v2 as my main device and am getting both weak flavor and vapor...

I've purchased the Marquis back when I was really noob, I only had 30G Kanthal and my builds were awful. I ended up throwing it away. Today, I managed to build an alright single coil build (8 wraps of 26G at 1.1ohm) on my Tugboat in terms of vapor production and most important, IT DIDN'T LEAK. However, the flavor was muted even though I placed it a little above the airflow hole with a decent wicking job. I've tried several builds on my Mutation x v4 and got leaking from the bottom airflow EVERY SINGLE TIME, even if the wicking wasn't touching the deck. Putting less liquid would result in dry hits. I mostly tried 24g single coil builds using only the bottom airflow and always got both shitty vapor and flavor from them. I am really sick of wasting hours to get such results...

I've also tried many RTAs over time. It may sounds weird, but my best results were probably from my Kayfun Lite clone using 30G and wrapping shitty 2 ohm coils. I remember how awesome was the flavor I got from it. I've also had decent results from my Lemo v1 until I got sick of a part of the chimney getting stuck and ended up throwing it away. I've tried the Subtank Mini (the earliest version which didn't have the side juice holes) and was constantly getting dry hits using 60VG/40PG liquids. I am sure I was wicking it well but the juice channels were just too small. My next purchase was the Cthulhu RTA. I actually enjoyed the vape from this device but the machining was TERRIBLE. The hex screws were making a bad connection, the countless parts were incredibly hard to unscrew and the nut screw on the top was annoying as f***. It gave me great flavor but no matter what I've tried, it leaked from the airflow holes. My current device is the Billow v2. I'm building dual 26g coils, ranging between 0.3 and 0.8 ohm. I'm really having a hard time getting the results I'm looking for. I've tried many different builds and many different wickings but am getting average vapor and flavor.

Could anyone help me out? I'm looking for a knowledgeable vaper to guide me through this painful process and not go back to smoking. Thanks! :)

Your mutation is a very leaky but good mod vapor production is achieved with relative ease on v4 but flavor is done by restricting air flow if I'm flavor chasing on mutation I close all but one bottom air flow piece and all but one top air flow try Clapton coils for great flavor

Btw I wasn't as satisfied with vapor production until I started getting into 100+ watts some ppl prefer much less I prefer little 3 or 4 seconds lung hits as opposed to tugging throat hits for longer times at lower watts

Also for flavor forgot to say and some might disagree with me but I face my airflow away from wick like move it to where air flow is facing a post and for vapor production I get as much air flow on wick as possible

Ahh I used both tugboat v2 authentic and mutation x v4,they work well for me.
About mutation x v4,for it has bottom airflow,so don't overdrip it,and try to drip centre.Hope it will help you.
About tugboat, you could try to buy authentic, for usually clone one use bad material and terrible processing
