Nobody Saves the World, the upcoming action-RPG from Guacamelee developers Drinkbox Studios, has been delayed to 2022, but to help tide fans over, the developers have revealed a new look at the wacky adventure and announced a new feature: online co-op.

Set for release on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC - it will also be available on launch day on Game Pass for Xbox and PC subscribers - Nobody Saves the World is now set for a Q1 2022 launch. The latest trailer for Nobody., aired during Gamescom's Opening Night Live showcase, confirmed online co-op will now be part of the adventure.

Both players will star as their own Nobody, the hero of Drinkbox's new story, and each will be able to take on one of the game's various forms, including a horse, a ranger, an egg, and more unexpected options. Players can customize their form with powers from other forms, mixing and matching the powers they like best, and now they'll be able to mix even more powers together with a second player along for the journey. Nobody Saves the World will be Drinkbox's first online co-op game, though previous games like Guacamelee 2 featured local co-op.

With a soundtrack by Jim Guthrie, Nobody Saves the World's main quest will see players journeying to a number of dungeons on an adventure to, well, save the world, completing a variety of quests tied to each Form alongside progressing the main story. IGN went hands-on with Nobody Saves the World earlier this year and found its take on the genre deep and engaging, while still retaining Drinkbox's penchant for hilarious writing and inventive world design.
