Noob to building.

I'm getting into building my own coils. I know the basics on how to actually do it but still learning about different types and gauge of wire. I currently have a dual coil rda subohm tfv4. I'm looking to build a .2ohm dual coil setup. What's the best wire to use as a beginner. My current mod is segelei 75w tc box.

I'd try 24g Nichrome.. About 8 wraps on a 3mm bit should be around .2-25 ohms..Other folks will chime in with their suggestions as well..

I've used organic cotton for yrs in my RDA's..and still use it today..tried Japanese cotton and didn't like it, lol

yes Japanese is preferred, but any unbleached cotton should work!

I'm talking about the organic cotton balls I get at Rite Aid or CVS...they're different than reg cotton balls like Ej was referring to at Walgreen's...organic is natural, wicks fast and a $4 bag lasts a long time (100 balls)..

To get around .2 ohm, I usually do double coils with 24ga kanthal. I do 7 to 8 wraps. That's on the larger coil rod. The ohms will change a little with coil size. I never build under .2 myself.

Sounds good I'll try that when I jet a chance. I just got an RDA so my tank build will be on hold lol. I'll be using the rda mostly but I'll be rebuilding the tank for situations like working on a car or driving on long trips
