Nope, the newest horror film from writer and director Jordan Peele, received its first trailer ahead of Super Bowl LVI and it teases a mysterious threat from above.

As with the lead-up to Peele's Us, the story of Nope still very much remains under wraps, but this trailer gives some more hints as to what fans can expect. It starts off by showing that Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer are both part of a Black-run horse farm. They are shooting a commercial for the farm and Palmer reveals that is a descendant of the Black man who was the star of the first "assembly of photographs to create a motion picture."

This particular farm trains horses for Hollywood productions, and while the trailer starts off with everything seeming well and good, things quickly take a turn for the worse.

The rest of the trailer cuts through different parts of the movie, and we get to see Steven Yeun's character looking to the sky, what very much looks like a UFO, the wind suddenly stopping as skydancers fall to the ground, two possible shots of aliens of some sort, a kite line hanging from... something... that was shown in the film's poster, and more.

Nope is set to be released in theaters on July 22, 2022, and it is one of our most anticipated horror movies of the year.
