Are not happy with current tanks? It would be helpful to know the problem so that we know what to suggest

I wanted to change tanks too but ended up buying a new mod. 50 watts, if I remember correctly, is as high as it will go. Some of the newer tanks need more power. Thus I went for segelei 150 (cheap) and a crown tank. First puff and I was in cloud heaven. It was worth it!

sorry folks, i don't like the way it vapes, i would like a tank with more air flow control
You want more airflow or less? (More wide open or tighter)

If you want a tighter draw, try a Nautilus.

For more airflow try a Crown, but you can only use the 0.5 ohm coils with your mod (and only just. They do have 1.2 ohm coils, but the flavor isn't nearly as good).

imho the silo beast is one if the best and most versatile tanks money can buy, the airflow is adjustable to be tight enough for a mouth to lung vape,or it can be loose enough to run on 80-100w.
it comes with a 1.2 ohm coil great for mouth to lung and a 0.5 ohm coil to be run around 30w for direct lung, it also works with any coil set for the atlantis, triton or eleaf melo coils. Additionally it has a top fill making it great for on the go. It holds 5 ml of juice stock or can be set with an additional nano kit dropping it to 3.5 ml
here is the tank

here are the 1.2 ohm coils

Nano tank

http://www.beyondvape.com/store/bv-...ond-vape-silo-beast-shorty-sleeve-p-2314.html

These are less expensive (half price) coils for it for mouth to lung(1.8 ohm)

Here are some good direct lung coils that are terrific at 40-50w(0.4ohm)

wow, thank you for the info, some I understood, im new so im not very smart on the vape stuff, I think the best way to say it is , I wanna unscrew the tank that came with the unit and then screw one on that is better.

yeah roger , both what Amanda suggested and myself will do that. any tank with a '510' connection will- which is most everything available.
the trick is identifying what you don't like and what you want to improve with the new one.

All the options presented will change the vape both hers and what I put. Its all in what you want it to do.
I presented the silo, because it can serve both mouth to lung and direct lung roles, it allows a vapor to grow with the tank rather than replace it as your preference changes. Its also 40$ whereas the nautilus, which is a great mouth to lung tank with a tighter draw is 20-25$ and the crown centered around direct lung vapors with a wider draw is 20$. The cost in coils in most cases will be negligible they are all between 10-15$ for a 5 pack .

In any case the flavor from any of the ones mentioned will probably be better than the kanger you have.

I run a Zephyrus on my Kbox mini (Subox). I use the RBA head at 0.4 ohms and it vapes great around 30w. There's a Zephyrus V2 now with improved RBA head and even better top fill. It's a great match. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1448815151.266843.jpg

Speaking for myself 50w is definitely not enough..my favorite subtanks I vape today are the Smok tfv4 at 75w and the Crown at 65-70w on my two 100w IPV4's..I also run a RDA at 80w on my 150w IPV3..its nice to have extra power there if I need it and dual batts go a long time on a single charge.. Just my 2 cents, lol

Still not overly helpful :)

Do you want a tighter draw, or more airy? Are you a mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaper, or do you draw directly into your lungs (direct inhale, or DI)? Are you more interested in taste, or generating massive clouds?

thank you for asking, more air, more cloud more taste, I know that's unrealistic but im not getting as much from the tank I have ( the kanger sub box mini kit) that came with the unit

thank you, the crown tank seems to be the one im looking for, but at 50 watts will my k

With 50 watts you can just about use the 0.5 ohm Crown coil, but the 0.25 coil does better at 65-70 watts.

of course you could pick up an Istick 100w for just around $30 - but you'd also have to get more batteries (dual batteries).

That's not necessarily true. The trick is finding that combination of tank/coil/power/juice that gives you a balance you find satisfactory.

For example: I've been experimenting with an OBS Crius RTA. It took me about 3-4 tries re-wicking the thing, experimental trimming in-between complete re-wicks, and a slight coil re-positioning to finally get the thing to produce the flavour I knew the juice had. Now it's producing a pretty decent amount of fairly dense vapour and it's quite flavourful. Enough of both to impress a guy behind the counter at a vape store who uses an RDA, anyway ;)

What I don't know is if it can be achieved with pre-built coils. RTAs have gigantic juice channels, compared to the average pre-built coil.

One thing I learned is it's not all about watts. I run that tank at only 35W.

Vujim is dead on. The factors are pretty wide: Power, surface area of the coil, wicking properties, juice flow, juice viscosity, airflow, and direction of airflow.
And with airflow keep in mind that you only have as much airflow as your narrowest point. Some tanks have huge ports for show but they will bottleneck in places.

Just so you are aware, going from a kanger sub mini to a TFV4 is like trading your Chevy Cruze for a Corvette. The vette is great but probably not ur only vehicle.

I used to hate my kanger and rarely used it but accidentally tried the new vertical 0.5 coil. No more gurgle, no more spitback, better flavor, and it became ideal for work or car. Enough to not smoke? No, and that is where my Crown and Herakles come in to help.

With the TFV4, there are many coil choices, most of which need a mod of 100w min and preferably higher, plus an external charger and probably 2 sets of quality 18650 batteries. Plus much more e juice!

the tfv4 can be run fine at 59 watts or less
IF
you use the dual coil, clapton coil,or build on one the rba decks for 50 watts or less

I would like to thank everyone that took the time to leave a message, the input was great. im going to try the TFV4
I have both but I like the Crown better. The top fill design is better. They are real close but I hate the stupid vape band on the TF. The Crown is also easier to take apart and put back together.

I like the Crown too as I own three of them.. But I like my TFV4 a little better, vaping the triple coil at 75w it blows thicker clouds and I love the adjustable airflow drip tip.. It keeps the vape cooler at higher wattages..I only use the vape band out and about and leave it off when at home.. Havn't tried the RBA deck yet but looking forward to building it soon..you'll like the TFV4, I know I do, lolol

Hey Deucesjack, is there a trick beyond patient priming or RTA building to get a Crown coil to last? I put in a new .25 2 days ago and now get a strange taste when I go from 72 to 75w. Maybe sweet custard juices are a no no or maybe the higher wattages are not reality with stock coils? My Herakles remains my go to tank due to things like this and similar. Yes I can live with 72w but I dont think it is the long term solution I hoped for. Any advice? Thanks

I don't know. I only Vape the .15 dual coil ni200 and I've never had a problem with it. They seem to last long as well. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I use the 0.25 coils all the time, and I get around 60mls out of one before I start to get a sort of burned taste. Some juice does gunk up stock coils much faster. I vape mine between 65-75 watts - it's supposed to be able to to go 120watts (too hot for me LOL).

I run my crown on an istick 50w and it does pretty well even with the .25 coils. I have a TC mod on the way so that i can start using the NI coils and most likely will get the RBA deck for the crown to make my own coils. I run the .25 at 40-45 watts and it does well for me. It is subjective though...

And if you haven't run it higher it's hard to compare the difference!

That's indeed subjective..I barely get any vapor at all under 50w with the .25, but
it really starts to shine for me at 60w..and it is downright awesome at 65-70w with VG max juice..so much so the .25 is my favorite coil for my Crowns (3) as I've tried the .5 and Ni200..

thanks for the input, im going to take amandas advice and get the eleaf 100 watt

I just started with the 100 watt e-leaf and TFV4, amazing cloud output, and the flavor seems to get better in higher wattage.im vaping it at 75 watts, damn!!!

+1 on the TFV4...vaping the Clapton coils on this pair of 20Ow mods at 75w produces awesome flavor and thick clouds ..no leaks either, lol
