not sure about buying eVic VTC mini

hi everyone
i'm using right now an iJust2 by eleaf, and i wanted to upgrade a little bit...
i know it's a bit "old" (i think), but i am interested into buying the eVic VTC mini, but i am a total noob in vaping.
so i wanted to ask:

-first of all, is it a bad choise? i want something very cheap, in fact if i could i wanted to stay under 50 (€ or $) but as you can see, i can also push it up a bit...

-maybe in one year since its release, some better products came out... or is it still as good as one year ago?

-i don't know how to maintain the cig or stuff like that... like changing the cotton ( i don't even know if there's cotton :'D ) so is this produc right for me?

-last but not least (absolutely), i live in europe, in italy, and i don't really know where i can buy e-cigs, neither in real life or on the internet, would you tell me where i can?

so... as you can see i know really not much about vaping but i'm really interested, that's because i want to buy something good after the iJust2

and by the way... sorry for the bad english, not my native language

Hey Neto, welcome to VU. The Joyetech Evic VTC mini is a fine device, even for being almost a year since it's release. If your looking into the kit, I would suggest the Cubis Pro tank instead of the Ego One Mega tank. Joyetech has an updated version called the Evic Vtwo Mini, but you might want to check some youtube videos on performance and specs. Some online vendors that I have used before are Fasttech, 3Fvape, efun.top, and in the US, I use vapenw.com. Not sure if they ship to the EU, but im sure for enough Euro's, they will get it to you. Good luck!:).

Easiest answer is yes, the vtc is a great mod.

If you buy the kit it will come with a good starter tank and you will only have to replace pre-made coils.

You can order pretty much whatever you need online.

Another quick point, If you do choose a device that uses an 18650 battery, stick with quality brands like Samsung and LG. A separate charger would be advised also. Check other threads in the battery forum for safety tips and charger recommendations.

I have the eVic Mini and the Vtwo mini. If I were buying between the 2 again, I'd buy the first one, not that there's anything wrong with the 2nd one, necessarily, it just has a shorter 510 (mine does) and unnecessary power drains with the stupid clock on it. I love mine, It's my fave mod. Coming up 2nd is the Eleaf Pico 75w. Wasn't sure how much I liked it after I bought it, it sat in a cabinet for at least a couple months, but it's really growing on me.

I left mine in Vermont and waiting on my hippy in-laws to remember to send it back. I have plenty of mods to take its place but the VTC is by far my most efficient and best performing single 18650.

I agree with both options, the Pico is a great little power house, and the VTC has always served me well -- some folks are a bit sniffy about its TC ability and accuracy but for standard wattage/Power mode it's great.

In my opinion the TC works great. It's no DNA but it's a fairly smooth vape with no pulsing. Wish I could say the same about my Yihi mods.

When it's in regular display mode hold the + and firing button down together, this will bring up the screen menu. Use the - button to scroll and select "OFF". No more clock.

I have to agree on both the VTC Mini and the Pico. Both have been rock solid for me. The Pico is a bit less versatile due to it's size and form factor but performs great. You need to stay with max 22mm diameter toppers on the Pico (some 23mm if no knurling on the base) and taller tanks look pretty odd on it.

The evic mod is pretty good but I'm not a fan of the tank. I ended up putting a merlin rta on mine and it vapes really well at 39 watts

Had the evic vtc mini since December 2015. Great mod. I still consider myself a novice/intermediate... I think it's versatile, and fits well in the hand. Not that heavy as it is a single batt mod. It's relatively inexpensive. I would buy another one. I was thinking about the newer version that came out, but I rather have removable batts. I am currently using it with an OBS Crius RTA @ 44W @ 0.30ohms. A very good entry level mod that I still enjoy using. I never felt that it was insufficient for my needs. For me, it was either the vtc mini vs the ipvd2, and I don't regret my decision. Good luck!

Not that I recommend it over the original but the newer version is just like the old one, the larger has a built in battery and the Mini uses a single 18650.

I highly recommend the VTC mini. I have two, and they have been flawless. Joyetech has also been doing a great job keeping the firmware updates coming as well. I would imagine the Vtwo is just as good.

Just curious, did you lose the magnets or did they just come loose and are now stuck together but not sticking to either the mod or cover? Little dab of super glue would work if that's the case.

I'd get a new mod for basically the same price, if it were me, so my vote would be the vtwo.

That's what I was leaning more towards. I'm just not sure why I should go for the cuboid over the vtwo. The cuboid is dual Batt, and I'm not too sure of the benefit. Less charging? Higher wattage? What else...?

Well, you do get 150w from that one, so there's that. Single batt mods more that suit my needs, I'm a low wattage vaper, anyway.

I am not sure what you vape at but my wife has the evil vtc and I have hated the 510 since day one. She vapes on a protank 2 it wobbles and there is a gap. I am not sure if the protank 510 is longer than most I never had a problem when I used it years ago. But my point is I just bought her a sbody macro for $59.99 from vapor shark. It's a dna 40 but they have a dna75 though its more expensive. There may be a chance that the protank base needs to be replaced but her evic needed to be replaced as well anyways.

I've been waiting to see if anyone else had this happen to their vtc mini as well. I've had mine since December and the magnets came loose after about 5 months. Battery door still holds tight. it's more of a 'click' in battery door now.

Mine only came loose after I dropped it but I'm using my buddies since i lost mine and he's had it for over 6 months...and the magnets are fine.

You're right. I usually find myself not vaping anymore than 50w. And the vtc mini goes up to 75. I tried the cuboid and went up to 100. But Idk if I will do that daily. lol.
