Well this latest creation has been out only a short time, but does anyone have anything to say about them?
Some of my questions are:

Will they fit in most of the popular devices?
Does the wire attached to the SS tube hold up under hard use?
Does the design really produce the flavor it claims?

I really like the instant ramp up claim. The vids I've seen support that.
Would like some more input before I buy some.

Thanks in advance.

I'll second Kim's request! Notch coils are the first things to make me really raise my eyebrows in the vape world for some time.

Seems as though they only come with leads facing the same direction. Will opposite direction leads be available (like something that might work on a Kayfun type of deck)?

I have my eye on the Horizon Tech Cerakoat tank with the similar styled "match" coil. Joyetech has a dreadful track record with tanks (excluding the Delta II) and especially coils. I hope they have something this time with the Notch coil. Time will tell...

I've watched several video reviews of the notch coil (at least the Wismec one). So far, the reviewers still tend to prefer fused clapton wire over the notch coil, not to mention the 5mm I/D can be impossible on many atty's. I'll probably buy some though to try.. they're only like a buck each.

Looks like they ramp up to temp super fast.

I really can't see them performing similarly to a clapton coil. To me, it just looks like a big, fancy ribbon wire coil that's made of SS instead of kanthal. I can see it providing similar benefits, but I don't see how the experience could be even remotely comparable.

It's still a cool idea, and I love jaybo's ideas, but I don't buy that claim. It's improbable. Who knows? Maybe it'll make a believer out of me and I'll give up on fused claptons. I dunno though. I'm not as bombastic over this thing as some people seem to be.

It's a very interesting coil. Looks like it would perform very well. I'm kinda surprised nobody came up with one sooner. You can bet people will be talking about them not too long from from now. I know I'll probably snag a couple of pairs when they become more available.

I think the verdict on these puppies is still out for now, though. I've been trying to find info on these things, but a lot of it reads more like a sales pitch than an actual write-up... ...people are so damned excited about these things.

I agree. The appeal of the current breed of advanced coils is the fact that the intricate designs actually improve wicking, as well as more diversity in the vapor particulate size. This coil would not have these advantages as far as I can tell. It's just a plate of metal that's been milled/cut and then rolled into a cylinder with leads welded on. It's certainly simple, but better? I'm skeptical as well.

I just bought the notch coils for my cubis tank.. the original cubis coils were .5 and lets be honest.. only lasted for about three days and didn't have very good flavor also the vapor was whatever. But man oh man these new notch coils really breathed new life into my cubis. The flavor is so much better now and the vapor production is triple.. I am so far really happy with the notch coil for the cubis. I am on day three now with my first notch coil and it still vapes like new as well as still very favorable. cubis get really hot now though.

Just before i start... this is my own opinion of these coils, not trying to start a storm in an atty over these! I would also like to point out that i prefer to run my mods in vw/vv Not in temp mode.

I got my first shot of these coils when the theorem came out.... turned out to be a total bs gimmick in that tank.
Ive alo had a shot at them again in the cylin tank just recently... which i accidentally flooded and still got a dry hit!

The 0 ramp time means almost instant dry hits in vw above 40-45w, below this vapour & flavour production i find to be pathetic compaired to even the most simple single coil build.
Even with the atty juiced up to the point where its running out of the air holes ive gotten dry hits ( or flooded, oops)

I thought maybe they just cant handle being in a theorem style tank (wicking against gravity) so i also tried them in several rda's with similar results, much above 50w and the the cappilary action of the wicking material just isnt capable of moving the juice to the coil fast enough.

HOWEVER, used in a smaller tighter draw atty, talos, guardian, tfv4, griffin and in ss temp and kept below 230c they perform pretty well!
But vapour and flavour is still very lacking, compared to conventional coils!

If anyone has had better luck with them please do share how you managed yo get it working , i hate to have to slate a product!

Just checked... it might just squeeze into a Subtank 'mini rba plus' coil head with some finesse!

Touch and go but might fit vertical tooo_O

I 2nd this actually. I ordered 10 of them. I put 2 in my tsunami and they sucked. Took it out and tried it with a single coil still sucked. in both wattage and temp modes. Just another gimmick coil IMO

No luck,
the top cap catches the coil, lower the coil and restricts the air flow too much on an already tight draw
