Oh my god, I vaped all the "juice" out of my truck last night.

Sitting in the parking lot at the supermarket... happily vaping away, plugged into the cigarette lighter. Talking on the phone with a friend, another new vaper, catching up and sharing vaping advice.

I thought the engine was on... key word: thought...

Realizing this could be really bad, I turned the key in the ignition, and the engine wouldn't turn over...

*facepalm*

Had to get a jump from roadside assistance. Thankfully it didn't take too long, but all I could do was shake my head and laugh.

Figured I'd share this to make you laugh too.

Really? Dude I have a '68 Chev with a 327 V8
that I left the parking lights on for a day &1/2 and it cranked right up like nobody's business..
Also left my GPS on (plugged in cig lighter) for a couple days while I was offshore tuna fishing..guess what? It cranked right up..
So I guess what I'm tryin to say you might need a better car/truck or bigger battery, or both.. Lol

Well, the vape wasn't the ONLY thing using electricity. Had lights on now and then, radio here and there.

My truck and my battery are just fine. I just messed up :)

Unless you were in the parking lot for 2 hours with all the current running I would say it is time for a new truck battery. Every 4 years I replace mine.

Respectfully... this post was intended to induce laughter, not automotive repair advice. I know my way around vehicles, my battery is 8 months old, and my starter is so good that you barely have to turn the key to fire it up under normal circumstances. The attempts to start it last night resulted in the familiar "clickclickclickclickclick" of the ignition's best intentions, but it wasn't quite strong enough to turn the engine over. I was right at the cusp of needing a jump, and so I got one.

Ha ha, hee hee, my bad :p

dammmmmmmmmmm what kinda mod you have that sucks that much juice from the batt !!!
LOL, of course the original story is a very abbreviated version. I just have a 40W TC iStick. But obviously there were other things going on... I might have had the headlights on, the blower on, the radio on standby mode, a dome light here or there, etc. Like I said, it was a 90 minute phone call!

How much did the vape contribute? who knows... but it's still a funny story, and a lesson!

Passive-aggressive much?

My friend and I had a good laugh, and it seems a few others on this forum did too. Whether or not you believe it... to use your words... who cares...

OMG dude! Turn your key backwards and turn off those damn lights lol. Funny nevertheless. I read the title and assumed you were vaping antifreeze or something. Was going to recommend just carrying a bottle of liquid in your truck lol

Yes, I know how to conserve power in a vehicle that isn't on :). The distraction of the phone call led me to not realizing the engine wasn't on, and the pasthrough vaping via the 12V plug probly didn't help the situation...

PS: While waiting for assistance, my mod ran out of juice, and of course no way to charge. THAT was the true frustrating part! lol.
