FYI, I have been using the Pancake for a couple of months now. The cloud cap set arrived today...
Innovative and extremely easy to build on. I have it built and will add images and complete specs upon next recoil...
Anyone here have one? With Ultem drip tip and Ultem cloud cap set w/ adjustable top air flow...

Positive Impressions:

• Can accomodate 4mm ID coils without issue.
• Short in height with an outstanding flavor profile.
• Innovative deck that is extremely easy to build on.
• Configured to support a myriad of build configurations.
• Deck screws are able to trap 1mm wire without issue.
• Proficient feeding and draining as a bottom-fed RDA.
• Surprisingly adequate airflow for ≤ 2.5mm ID builds.
• Does not leak with bottom feed plug installed.

Negative Impressions:

• No deck screws or O-rings were included as spares.
• Airflow is only available indirectly versus direct-to-coil.

Negative Impressions (Non-Bottom Feed Devices Only):

• Capacity of the juice channel is insufficient to supply high-powered builds.

Additional Commentary:

The Ohman Pancake is one of the easist RDA decks to build on. Relatively light in weight, small in stature and big on flavor, it's only shortcoming is that the top cap (including the cloud cap) only allows for indirect airflow. This is less of a concern for ≤ 2.5mm ID coils where reduced wick mass does not appreciably inhibit air flow. For larger ID coils, direct-to-coil (DTC) airflow can be acheived by orienting installed coils at an angle towards the airflow slots. Users of rayon wicks may find this an unsuitable workaround as unbalanced wick tails tend to draw juice away from the coil center accordingly. Coils may also be oriented vertically, across the juice channel, or snaked along a bed of wick laying within the channel to take advantage of DTC. The Ultem cloud cap set is an innovative step in the right direction with its adjustable top airflow design and increased resistance (versus the standard titanium top cap) to the heat generated from high-powered builds. The draw with top airflow wide open is enough for noticeably increased vapor production. So why DTC? To further improve its flavor and vapor production potential. I made a request to Ohman to develop an alternative cloud cap with direct-to-coil airflow. If it comes to fruition, the Pancake may very well vault to the top of my bottom-fed RDA list.

tl;dr: A fantastic flavor RDA that is easy to build on, the Pancake shines with squonkers and less so with non-bottom feeders.

As a standard RDA? Despite its outstanding flavor, use on a non-bottom feed device is difficult owing to the low capacity of its channel well. Unless you build high and/or with low coil mass, the Pancake runs out of juice quickly. This is certainly not an RDA to drip and drive with. As a bottom-fed RDA? More than acceptable. It feeds and drains well which I feel is the most important feature aspect of a bottom-fed RDA. I was an early adopter of the Pancake and took a chance on it without the benefit of any commentary or reviews to base my decision upon. And I would definitely purchase this RDA again knowing what I know now and am looking forwards to how the Pancake evolves in the near and far future.

I've got a Pancake and enjoy it quite a bit. I get damn good flavor from it and the vapor production is sufficient. It doesn't seem to have been built with massive vapor production in mind. I wanted a Cloud Cap just because I like the look of Ultem but I didn't feel that its functionality would be worth it for me. I build mine with a 7 or 8 wrap single core Clapton dead center angled at about 45 degrees. When I wick it, I cut one tail so it protrudes maybe 1mm out of the higher end of the coil and on the lower end I run the tail underneath the coil along the bottom of the well. I use both air slots wide open and with the coil angled and wicked that way it performs beautifully IMO. If I wanted a bog standard direct-to-coil airflow atty I'd just use one of the many I have. I bought the Pancake specifically because it's unique. YMMV.

I'm also anxious to see what Ohman's Mini Chuck will be like.
