Ohmega Alpha 30mm BFT...Anyone?

Anyone have one of these?

I saw it while browsing through that site and the fact that its a 30mm RTA just caught my attention lol. I wants it, but would definitely like to hear peoples opinion on it if anyones had it. Shit like construction quality, functionality, whatever else.

It looks to have a Velocity style deck with massive holes for some crazy builds. And at 30mm its probably got tons of space for building and lots of airflow, and just judging from the size of the tank vs the driptip, it looks like it might have a wide/chuff style driptip on board, which is a plus for me.

I have one. I like it a lot, but some things you should know:

1. Crunchy threading
2. No afc adjustment
3. No spare glass
4. Proprietary drip tip, and it has a sharp edge

Ok, so couple Qs for yous.

The AFC, how open is it? Like, compared to the Boreas (you should be a little familiar with that one lol). More? Less? Similar?

The drip tip. What kind of size is the opening? About regular 510 size opening? Chuff size opening?

Spare glass isnt a big deal for me, and the threading cant be much worse than it is on one of my Allerias. As long as the drip tip has a large opening and the airflow is open enough to feed it, Id be happy.

AFC: very open. I think very close to Boreas.

Drip tip is inbetween a 510 and a chuff cap.

Worst threading reported by nearly everything is the top cap. So fill fast because you need 10ml, there's no jfc or afc, and the top cap may take a bit to get started.

Ahh, so I guess then it has the threads right inside the walls lip instead of on the chimney, like the Boreas. Thats a major issue imo, if its how Im thinking. Seems like itd be leak city using that style with no air/juice control.

Mine has never leaked. It only has a few parts: deck, glass, chimney/frame, and top cap.

I love love love mine. Surprisingly, it has the best flavor of any atty I have (about 20 atm). My threads are smooth and it came with replacement glass FWIW. I bought it used and it came with 19 wrap (yes, 19) 24 ga duals. It worked better than I thought it would but I rebuilt it with 3.5mm 6 wrap parallel claptons @ 0.2ohms. That's a total of 24 3.5mm clapton wraps. In a tank. Runs great at 110-130W.

True, there is no JFC or AFC but I like the draw and don't need JFC since (if you wick it right) it doesn't leak. My buddy rides a motorcycle with his in his pocket with no leaks. We live in the mountains too.

I think they should require people to make their own juice before they get one though. It's thirsty as fuck. 30ml a day without even trying.

ETA - You can fill it without a dropper. Just dump it straight from glass bottles. Saves a lot of time if you use glass.
