I have never ordered juice on-line before. I was on mt baker s site today and saw you could build your own. You can put in multiple flavors, so let's say straw/menthol. Below this is parts? Meaning like I really want to taste the straw, so 2 parts straw, 1 part menthol? If this is so, any recommendations for this flavor combo. I vape this alot, but have no clue how they mix it. I don't want the menthol to over power the straw so that its gone, but I definitely like to taste the menthol? Any help is appreciated

I'm an experienced DIYer now, but when I first started vaping, I ordered a bunch of flavors mixed that way. They're still around here somewhere! Hopefully your results will please you more!

The first steps in DIY are choosing your flavors and ratios, so what you're doing is like "DIY Lite" in my opinion.

The thing is, if you ask for 2 parts strawberry + 1 part menthol, they will assemble that by volume (or maybe weight, but little difference there). It's up to YOU to know that menthol is a very strong flavor, and strawberry tends to be far weaker. That 2:1 is going to be really strongly menthol! Just HOW strong depends on what brand of flavoring they're using, and they probably don't tell you that. So how to get a decent bottle of juice from this process?

Two ways: trial and error, or follow in the footsteps of others. You can order 2:1 this time, 4:1 next time, until it's the way you want it. Or there might be user-posted recipes there that others have enjoyed. It's no guarantee you'll like the same thing, but it's something to start with.

DIYers follow the same process and might start with 2:1, taste, and adjust repeatedly until it's right. Then shop around for a different strawberry flavor, lol! We all end up relying on the mail service, one way or the other.

My advice is to keep handy some premixed liquids you enjoy, and don't get your hopes too high for great results the first time on this service. Order a few and keep track of the numbers you used to adjust your order next time.

I agree with HIC completely, but I also have another suggestion. Why not buy a bottle of Mt. Baker Menthol, one of Strawberry, and an empty bottle? Then you can mix them to the ratio you want, and try ordering it that way next time?

I still say you should probably at least start considering the full-on DIY approach, but if you're more comfortable doing it this way at first, then go for it.

The guy (shop) that I use have a website which you can order from. It also has notes section where you can explain in detail whst youre looking for. The guy is very easy took work with and knowledgable. (I talk to him a couple times a month) For example: One of the flavors on my last order was Maple. In the notes I just told him Id like it to taste like a Maple Donut. The dude friggin nailed it! Theres definetly alot more in there than just Maple. The guy just really seems to know what hes doing and tries to make evryones experience as good as it can be.

With all that said...
You pay for it. $10 per 15ml or $18 for 30ml.
For all the guy does, I think its not too bad of a price, but I too would like to get into DIY

I bought a Subtank Mini last week and that thing GUZZLES the juice! I cant really afford to use it the way Id like to rigjt now, so DIY might end up coming into play for me.

Thanks for the info all. I m just not ready for diy yet. Maybe some day. As my vaping journey is going about as fast as juice thru a sub tank, prob sooner than later yes, I'm trying it to save money. I love the guys at my local shop, but they keep raising their prices, and I keep uping my consumption. I'm not bitchin, they gotta do what they gotta do, but I gotta do what I gotta do ya know.

Apologies ahead of time, DIY fanboy here

One DIY easy-mode is to add drops of a premixed flavor recipe concentrate from MamaJ's to an unflavored ejuice (nic base) of suitable nic strength for you.

So you would be dealing with 2 ingredients for a premium juice basically. Measure unflavored base, measure flavor mix at recommended, shake, sit overnight, vape.

I understand this would still raise a lot of questions for you but if this sounds interesting, we'd be happy to hash out the details. DIYers know the process as a stand alone or solo mix (one flavor), but here we're simplifying it further by starting with a vapeable, unflavored juice (in this case, the nic base) at 6-24mg.

Dubya, the first ejuice place I ever ordered from has a LOT of customization options. Any PG/VG ratio, any nicotine level, and up to--I think it's five flavors but it might be more. They have more than 400 flavors--many of them named for the flavor concentrate the juice is mixed from. So, you can order a juice with whatever percentage of concentrate you like in pretty much any single flavor or flavors you can think of. On the page for each flavor, there's a bunch of boxes to check and a place for notes. When I was first vaping I got many single flavors like apple pie, sweet cream, pie crust, vanilla bean gelato, graham cracker, and a bunch of fruits.
It's a decent way to become familiar with what those single flavors are like if you are considering DIY, or if you like mixing "en tank". One big catch might be that you don't know for sure with certain flavors whether they are TFA or FW, since several of the most common have the same name. Also, don't expect a 30ml bottle of Pumpkin Pie Spice (at 15-30%) to be anything like vapeable... heh heh. But the place is probably worth checking out.

And it's not expensive, really: if you "like" their FB page, you get a 20% discount for life, which makes a 30ml bottle a little above seven bucks.

They were the first place I bought juice and i tried their strawberry three different ways,( normal, 2 extra flavor shots, and 3 extra flavor shots). I was so excited to get the last one with the three shots, thinking it was going to actually taste like strawberry.
It didnt, their strawberry sucks balls. I was very very disappointed.
Later when I started making my own, I got a bottle of capela sweet strawberry flavoring that tastes great with very little effort, in almost every mix.
I started thinking, why was it so hard for the big juice maker to make a decent strawberry, when the schmuck down the street (me) can easily do it better?

A few months ago I was made aware of these "make-your-own-juice" sites. My first thought was what a cool idea until I tried doing one of my personal favorite recipes.
It took me longer to fiddle with the input info then it would have taken me to make it myself and for less cost.
Even a worst thought. What if I never did any DIY? How would I know the flavor profiles of the different brands offered in order to choose the correct percentages? It would be all by trial and error with no way of having a chance to make some minor adjustments afterwards.

I could be wrong, but It's of my opinion that most DIY'ers are control freaks. They want their juice a certain way and they can make it happen, or find a way to make it happen by asking questions. Myself included.
What if you might want to try DIY, but not sure if you would like it? You could start as others have suggested.
I started by reading pages of info in forums, other sites online and watching a few videos on youtube. During that time I would take premade flavors and mix them together in a clean empty bottle to taste what happens. As my flavor orders came in I would use a couple of drops into a premade juice and taste the results. When I got my starter supplies all together, I got busy mixing.
It took some digging around in that "other place" to remind me of my first two projects, Cinnamon Red Hots/ Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Root Beer Float.

If you like flavors with a few ingredients, the you could save a ton of money making it yourself. If you catch the "flavor questing bug" then you won't save very much money, if at all, but you will have gained a tasty hobby.

Now dont get discouraged before you try it. Hopefully you have a different experience, which is absolutely possible, since you may be using a better atty than I was using at the time.

What all did ya get and how are you liking it in comparison to what you were using??

Yeah...I got on a good antibiotic and stopped vaping PG altogether. That seems to be what was causing it. Im still having a little irritation going on (probabaly from the PG in the flavorings or Nic) but its tollerable now.

I use small shot glasses for my tester containers. I got them from the thrift store for 50cents a piece. The inside is V shaped so its easy to get the liquid out. I place them on a flat surface and cover them with a 'frying pan grease screen' for steeping. Works like a charm for me, and they are cheap and easy to clean.

Here is my take on my order from mt. Baker. Received in 3 days, packaged great, full order was there and correct
Menthol, thug juice and butterscotch are all very flavorfull and good
Vanilla custard is fine, although I was expecting a little more vanilla flavor.
The strawberry is ok, its as good as the stuff I was getting from the b&m at 1/4 the price. Im notgonna say it tastes exacly like strawberry s, but I like it. I do wish it had a much stronger flavor though.
The butter toffee is the only one I would say I'm fully disappointed so far. I just don't get hardly any flavor out of it at all
Im only comparing to one ships house juice, so take it for what it's worth. Oh yea, the carmel coffee is also very good

Just one flavor shot or more...nic strength...vg/pg ratio (you know I can only use VG) ..and what are you vaping it on?

The shop I use is awesome, but their butterscotch is way bland.
I've tried it from both my Nautilus and Subtank and either way its the same thing.
Even let it steep for 3 weeks and no change.
I think it's because they're not used to making it. They don't offer the flavor, but it was made for me by request to see if it's something they could offer in the future. Sorry to say...at this point, it still needs alot of work.

Finding a good butterscotch juice that tastes like those little orange hard candies would be awesome!

Candies is exacty how it tastes. But I got the 50/50 pg blend, as I know this would not work for you don't know how the max vg would work out
